Kazakhstan have qualified for this September’s Billie Jean King Cup finals in China, after winning ties against Australia and Colombia in Brisbane. Australia defeated Colombia 3-0 today in the final group tie, and have to settle for a spot in the playoffs later this year.

Tennis players told they can’t shower in private under ‘bonkers’ anti-doping rule

The International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) has issued a statement after a viral social media post over anti-doping, which highlighted that players cannot shower in private if they’re chosen to give samples.

Max Purcell has accepted an 18-month suspension for breaching the sport’s anti-doping rules with banned infusions.

Including time already served during the voluntary provisional suspension, the 27-year-old’s ban will end in June 2026.

Until then, he will be prohibited from playing in, coaching at, or attending any tennis event authorised or sanctioned by the members of the ITIA (the International Tennis Integrity Agency), including the ATP.

An upset in the French Open Round 2. Alex Bublik (from Kazakhstan) just beat our Alex De Minaur 2-6, 2-6, 6-4, 6-3, 6-3. Especially since De Minaur won the first two sets in a convincing manner,
