Alexander Zverev has ended the giant-killing run of British wildcard Arthur Fery in the Wimbledon semi-final, winning in straight sets. Zverev will face Jannik Sinner in the final, after the latter defeated Novak Djokovic also in straight sets.

It really does suck that the Wimbledon final is now after 1am, instead of the previously more friendly 11pm our time. Better for West Australians I suppose.

Bloody Yanks, always dictating everything. While often understandable, you’d think with tennis (whilst popular in America and obviously they have one of the Slams in NYC it is still not like the Olympics nor their dominant domestic sports) that the All England Club could cater a bit for us Aussies. Not only do we have one of the four majors as well, but Australia also love the sport and proportionally population-wise far more than the USA with both TV ratings and attendance :man_shrugging:

The women’s game has been more interesting of late because there’s been different winners, not the same names in Grand Finals apart from Aryna Sabalenka.

Congrats to Linda Noskova:+1:on her first Grand Slam title at only 21

I agree. The 11pm aest start has been a better suit down under. Not a fan of it being pushed back to 1am either. But it is what it is.

Another Women’s Champion. Linda Noskova played well, in her young career.

Also annoying given the fact the US Open men’s final is on an earlier in the morning time as well.

It’s watch it the next morning on replay for me.

To become the first Philippines player with a WTA title, Eala has to produce a stunning upset.

And that’s just what happened. Keep in mind the DC Open final was pushed back by one day due to weather.
