Ten Sport

they should be doing some hosting like Nine used to do a decade ago.

It’s an NBL broadcast so there is nothing they need to do really. There is a brief pre game then a half time break too

Is it normal they use a Sport watermark instead of Bold or Peach?

Those laptops really don’t need to be there. And why do they have such massive cables? :joy:

Also, what a downgrade of a studio from that one they used previously.

Are they even laptops? They look like panels concealing the headsets. Stupid set up nonetheless.

Now you point it out that’s what it looks like, but I feel they’re meant to at least look like laptops. What a bad set design :joy:

I think they are tablet stands and the commentators are using tablets such as Microsoft Surface.

But then how will we know that EVERY MOMENT matters?  :joy:

Are they taking ESPN’s graphics or their own for the NBL?

It’s all the one simulcast broadcast produced by the NBL and distributed to rights holders.

any word on if WIN or Seven will televise the Australian MotoGP into Mildura with the loss of MDT?

good point there

it is on the Government anti-siphoning list, and the list applies Australia wide regardless of size of region.

Does the list mean FTA televised, or a FTA network has it and it can be used at their discretion to put it on a multichannel/FREE streaming service (such as 10Play for example)

Just wondering if WIN will simply run 10Play ads for the race.

The Anti-siphoning scheme only blocks anyone other than FTA broadcasters from acquiring the rights to listed events unless an FTA broadcaster (with at least 50% coverage of the Australian population) has the right to broadcast the whole or part of an event.

Nothing stopping them from on selling it to Foxtel (or anyone else), like 7 and 9 do for AFL, limited overs international cricket and NRL (which every game of which are listed), nevermind their own streaming service.

Even if the rule was every area must have a broadcast of listed events, wouldn’t 10 Central technically be a licensee in Mildura that would be broadcasting it?
