I suspect they’ll have no choice - a number of Countries have similar setups to our anti-siphoning list
F1 under Liberty management pretty much guarantees live FTA coverage in the country the race is held.
Or would they just make it free to watch in that country? Meaning they don’t have to sell on or anything?
They may have to offer it to broadcasters in some markets to satisfy local laws (this could include Australia in the future depending on what comes out of the list review)
Any reason why they can’t use that large screen for Melbourne’s weather?
I don’t think that screen is real, is it? Can’t say I’ve ever seen it used before for any other shows they’ve filmed from that studio… Cheap Seats etc.
Not sure, but 10 News First Melbourne could really benefit from a screen that size.
It’s a real screen. Sports Tonight used it at one point when they were in Melbourne. Pretty sure it had actual moving graphics.
They moreso just need a new set, but right now I’d prefer to see them continue focusing on bulletins and resources which it seems they are.
A new set is now becoming more evident. The current one is now coming up 10 years.
It’s not in the same studio
What does Michael do other than these during the year?
RSN radio host
Any reason why they can’t move it into the other studio? Lol
I believe they’re on different floors, if I’m not mistaken?
Yeah on different floors and they apparently wanted the news studio to be next to the newsroom (no idea why they say this - same thing was said about Today using the news studio instead of the sports one).
I believe this sport studio was the old news studio pre-2014
Yep this studio did Melbourne news and Adelaide was from the current news studio before it moved back to Adelaide and Melbourne moved into the smaller studio.
That’s right. Forgot about Adelaide.
