Probably less relevant than previously, but the BBL took them all and the NBL wants clear air.
you can almost guarantee the BBL will follow suit next year - theyâve talked up Xmas Day games previously
They did have a Christmas game 2-3 years ago right?
Christmas Eve maybe?
If I was 10, I would seriously consider airing the game on the main channel (except in Perth for obvious timezone reasons) rather than 10 Peach.
Considering Christmas Night is usually a TV wasteland, it canât do much worse for them (from a ratings POV) than what they would otherwise air. Not to mention that if they give the game a decent promotional push, this is a real opportunity for them and the NBL to see if they can establish a new Christmas tradition.
They might only be allowed to air it on Peach though.
Grand Final was aired on 10 though
The NBL announced the 2022-23 fixture early this morning. The first FTA match of the season (on 10 Peach) is scheduled to be on Sunday October 2, with Melbourne United v NZ Breakers and Perth Wildcats v Brisbane Bullets.
NBL games on Peach are an hour later this season than last season so 2 and 4pm eastern rather than 1 and 3pm.
Sunday Hoops Returns For 2022/23 Hungry Jacks NBL Season.

The highly anticipated 2022/23 Hungry Jackâs NBL fixture has dropped and each week from Sunday, October 2 fans can catch Sunday Hoops live from 2.00pm AEST on 10 Peach and 10 Play during an action-packed NBL season.
As the NBLâs free-to-air partner, fans will once again score two exciting back-to-back matches each Sunday on 10 Peach and simulcast on 10 Play which this season includes an Australian sporting first when Sydney Kings host Melbourne United on Christmas Day at a special prime time tip-off of 7.30pm AEST.

10 Peach and 10 Play will take free-to-air viewers court side to the biggest matches of the 2022/23 Hungry Jackâs NBL season.

10 Play Welcomes To The Ring, WOW - Women Of Wrestling.
Premieres Sunday, 18 September At 9am. Exclusive Premiere on 10 Play.
10 Play is excited to welcome WOW - Women Of Wrestling, the worldâs premier all-female sports entertainment entity, which will premiere exclusively on 10 Play.
WOW, the only all-female wrestling organisation with a global TV footprint, has been licensed to 10 Play in Australia by Paramount Global Content Distribution as an exclusive premiere, marking the largest-ever distribution deal in the history of womenâs wrestling. The full season one of WOW, along with the premiere episode of season two will launch on 10 Play from Sunday, 18 September at 9am, with new episodes of season two available weekly, date and day with the release in the United States.
Led by the larger-than-life WOW Superheroes and their in-ring rivalries, WOW is an action-packed saga that plays out at high-energy live events. Showcasing supreme athleticism, dramatic and inspiring storylines, WOW is centered 24/7 around empowering and uplifting women and fans around the world.
Among the WOW Superheroes stepping into the ring is our very own Princess Aussie. Having started her reign in Brisbane Australia, Princess Aussie rules the ring at WOW and each victory is a testament to her redefinition of the word âprincessâ. She wants young girls to see that being a princess is so much more than the fairy tales; itâs being a courageous, strong warrior who can take on the world.
Princess Aussie said: âBeing a part of the WOW team of Superheroes is a dream come true and I canât wait for my fellow Aussies to see the show as I represent our beautiful land down under in the ring!â.
WOW is owned by trailblazing sports executive Jeanie Buss and was created by David McLane, founder of the original GLOW: Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling. Global professional wrestling superstar, screenwriter, mental health advocate and New York Times bestselling author AJ Mendez serves as executive producer and colour commentator.
âFrom sports to politics to business and beyond, womenâs voices are being heard louder than ever, and the Superheroes of WOW couldnât be more excited to step into the ring on September 18 and join this revolution,â said WOW owner, Jeanie Buss.
I guess itâs somethingâŚ
Ideal content for channel One
They already have Bellator MMA on 10 play, seems like a logical pickup given the deal was brokered by their parent company (wouldâve cost next to nothing) and itâs available on the CW App + Pluto TV in the states.
There is also an Aussie involved, more womenâs sport and just more live content in general if people want to watch on streaming.
No Iâm not complaining.
Last year Next Level: Inside NBL21 was aired on 10âs digital channel. Hopefully at a later date is aired on Bold or Peach.
What, not on their analogue channel?
10 will be showing Australian MotoGP from:
12pm-4pm on Saturday October 15
10.30am-3.30pm on Sunday October 16
I wonder if this means 10 will be showing F1 next year.
