Ten Sport

NBL, LIVE and FREE in glorious sub-SD on 10Peach.

I didn’t think 10Play was HD.

The coverage is handled in house by the NBL with commentary done from an “interactive” studio so there will be no 10 branding and 10 won’t have to pay for any production costs. There will be the usual NBL commentators and host we have seen on SBS/ESPN.

You wonder if there is a rights fee or a split in advertising revenue.

Only positive is 10 building its sports portfolio and signalling a return to sportscasting.

Good to see 10 back in sport

They’ve previously had Melbourne Cup airing in HD on 10 play, so it seems they can switch it on where needed for live sports.

east coast there’s no clash, will be if the games are live in to WA

I think that might have been part of the reason, that or they have something else in the works and wanted to keep 10 free on Sunday afternoons.

They can air the second half of the highlights on Bold if need be. Nothing they haven’t done before. Where there is a will there’s a way.

It’s back-to-back live games, not a highlights show.

It’s on 10Peach, not on 10.

Studio 10.

Oh, sorry yes.

Please read the previous posts. Comments refer to a different way of working.

Sorry, yes.

One can only hope

What in the world?

Surely 10 Shake would be a better fit.

Does 10 have the rights the NBL finals as well or nay?

The coverage is about reach, so Peach is better, and I would expect marginally better PQ (although still SD). Shake is akin to Life or Rush, the bottom of the sea.

10 has the FTA rights to the first two games of NBL finals (best of five series) I believe. Game 3 onwards is exclusive to ESPN and Kayo.
