Using the main 10 Football studio (the The Project one) with a desk for the MotoGP coverage. I think they should use the setup for football as well.

Sam in the pits using 10/Paramount+ mic (although holding the 10 towards the camera).

Does anyone know why Channel 10 are not being fully committed to their Melbourne cup carnival deal by choosing not to show the Cox plate? I’m not sure whether they are choosing to do it as streaming only or not, but it really should be on the main channel.

The Cox Plate isn’t apart of the Melbourne Cup Carnival, Channel 10 only show the 4 days: Derby, Melbourne Cup, Oaks & Stakes. I believe that the cox plate is on channel 7 apart of their racing coverage

Looks like your right. It’s just a miss print in the EPG.

Francesca Cumani has returned to Melbourne to prepare for 10’s coverage of Melbourne Cup carnival.

Are you serious?

Cox plate wasn’t coming up in the epg on 7 saying they were showing it that’s why i thought 10 may have had the rights and not 7.

no…

Bad news for 10 with Seven’s own horse racing coverage going head to head with the Cup telecast for the first time. Seven’s broadcast of The Big Dance race day from Royal Randwick starts at midday AEDT.

That means Oaks Day is the only day 10 has the afternoon all to its own.

I don’t think they have much to worry about on Melbourne Cup Day. As if anyone will watch the other race.

Derby Day has been a worry for the VRC though. Most people still have the perception that Seven is covering The Melbourne Cup Carnival.
