No, it’s a network thing. They are celebrating the birth of Network 10 as a channel.
yea, it’s a bit clunky.
Network 10 ‘started’ it’s journey to becoming a network as a single station in Melbourne 60 years ago.
So that’s the milestone.
It’s not the action birthday of the network.
I guess like Australia Day is not the birthdate of the nation of Australia - but the start of colony in NSW.
It became a ‘national’ 5 city neywork in 1988
It’s
Same for Seven, technically HSV commenced transmission a smidge before ATN, with the Melbourne 1956 Olympic Games… Seven Melbourne went all out in 2006 IIRC on celebrations including specials/docos, some of which are available on YT in full and are a great re-watch. Then Heelers and network Gold Logie star John Wood (which also wrapped and was won that year) hosted a lot of them too, including the old studios, still in use too for some things (like that show) despite Docklands.
During the ad break on The Project just then, I saw a coming up promo for Dogs Behaving Very Badly and also promoted the movie on Nick@nite tonight.
Looked new?
You are too quick Cynic, that is indeed them.
Are they new? First time I’ve noticed them and the style looks different from other on-air elements.
Definitely new. Never seen these before.
“over on Channel 13”
odd they don’t say Nick@Nite, and only refer to it by LCN
I thought that, but is that just cause there wouldn’t be the recognition still of which channel that is on?
The Nick brand is still relatively new to FTA, so probably makes sense to use the channel name.
When we still had the m/c shares, Shake was the most disappointing performing, equal or worse than 7FoodNetwork, so not surprised and good to see the better promotion. 10 now have the rights to a great library of titles, a shame more aren’t watching.
The channel has an identity crisis. Nobody knows Nick@Nite or Nickelodeon is a Ten channel on 13. Better to say over on channel 13 so people can find it.
I saw the trailer before It Ends With Us at the cinemas the other night and it was terrible (bar Michael Keaton - he’s still got it)
I haven’t seen any free to air in awhile, but looking at these thread channel 10 really seems to be in trouble.
Maybe it’s time they started airing more CBS programming
They practically air all of CBS’s programming. Those shows do not help ratings. Ten’s highest rating shows are Australian shows.
This is the stupidest thing with the rename of the multichannels. Sport is still referring to the “old” name.
Well, nobody calls it 10Bold Drama or 10Peach Comedy here. It’s a waste of lengthening a name and putting a niche in what the multis can air. You don’t see 7 or 9 restricting their channel by name.
