Who’s they?
The 10 media release didn’t give a date, but anyway as I said she already started 2 weeks ago, but then hasn’t been back since.
So did they say she’d join mid-July for 1 story then take a few weeks off and return in August for more?

Georgie.
Did they make up that story from comments posted on Media Spy as per usual?
If anything people have said the program could work well once a week for an hour…but not holding up the primetime schedule 6 nights a week
How known is she across the land? Unless you watched the project she is largely unknown. However I assume they want those project viewers back so attracting new demos probably isn’t the first ambition.
Using someone unknown in a prime time slot isnt unheard of. If you watched ACA but didnt watch Today in thr morning, you wouldn’t have known Ally Langdon.
Ally did 60 mins too
Another snippet of info from The Australian regarding axing The Project in favour of 10 News+:
We’re told that decision was made by Ten’s benevolent – yet thrifty – corporate overlords at Paramount in the US, driven by the need to cut the exorbitant cost of buying episodes of The Project from Rove McManus and Craig Campbell’s external production house, Roving Enterprises.
The fact McGarvey – and the network’s national news boss, Martin White – have been following orders will likely spare them from any fatal repercussions. Just how much longer 10 News+ is spared its fate is another story.
I saw that article in The Australian, titled “The (High School) Project” but it was difficult to take seriously when it contains these quotes:
after replacing axed woke nightly gibberfest The Project
the only people who appear to be watching are the presenters’ mums.
Though it does seem to confirm the rumours elsewhere that McGarvey wanted to keep The Project but was overruled by Paramount execs in the US to cut costs.
Seems they were so focused on the cost side of the equation that they forgot to consider revenue and ratings.
Well, if she is “following orders” then why would she get the blame for the decisions.
I assume Ten News + was her decision.
I doubt the corporate overloads even know what The Project is.
Well here it is. I did ask about the ratings but it was more of an opportunity to get to know Denham and speak about 10 News+ and his recent sailing trip
Ill fitting is a bit rough yeah? Surely this show is better than ACA yeah?
So much better
Not remarking on its quality of journalism at all but in a commercial environment you need to appeal to the widest possible audience. This show in its current format is not doing that.
That’s a fair call but it looks like it’s attracting eyeballs online but doesn’t translate to linear “old” ratings surveys?
Numbers online don’t really pay the bills, especially on YouTube. And who knows if those hits are coming from Australia.
Sunday’s episode is the only one to have increased its audience from the previous week so far.
Australia relies so.much on lead ins etc though, and if eyeballs arent watching on the network, thats hundreds of thousands of eyeballs not seeing promos for other 10 shows, that were previously there.
