Yeah I think you’re right, usually a livestream on YT has LIVE and a red dot in the corner which this doesn’t.
If it was a live stream that had been going since yesterday it would be 12 hours long rather than 20 mins.
For some reason the stream only goes back 20 minutes but last I looked it was live
The sage continues! ![]()
Someone at 10 finally realised.
The saga? ![]()
Yes, saga, bit of an oopsie there. ![]()
So some actual News + News from TvTonight.
Told you there was change coming and told you all it’ll be back.
The source article in The Age says to start in January.
In January, Ten will launch its slim-downed version of 10 News+, which retains its Sunday-to-Friday 6pm time slot. This will be followed by game show Deal or No Deal, presented by Grant Denyer. At 7pm, Rebecca Gibney will host a refreshed version of Millionaire Hot Seat.
The network’s one-hour, state-based news bulletins remain at 5pm.
Uninspiring for 6pm. The 6.30pm spot for DOND is problematic for the show’s longevity though Millionaire at 7pm might have a chance.
Good that they’re retaining news + and good that millionaire is only 30 mins. Deal getting renewed is surprising but might have some legs left. I would’ve liked to see a different game show than deal.
It’ll be from once the show returns after the Christmas break.
Want to highlight the below quote from Martin White (10’s news chief) which comes from the Nine Newspapers article that broke the story:
While viewers like our content, they say it could benefit from being a bit pacier. The central theme was that while viewers love the depth of our stories, they’re not always interested in a six-minute report.”
While 10 News+ being a punchy program should have been the mantra from the beginning, at least they’ve finally realised that the pace of the program is an issue.
Wonder how the costs of a game show and 10 News+ compare to The Project. I guess at least game shows are more evergreen and repeats can fill more schedule gaps.
Good news for Deal then. Glad it stays
Surely ratings would improve by either running Millionaire Hot Seat for 60 mins from 6pm leading into Deal or No Deal, or by scheduling both DOND and MHS as 30minutes between 6–7pm before reality. 10 News+, while an okay program, clearly isn’t performing in this timeslot + hurting their evening schedule.
Wonder what will happen on Sunday? Does this mean they might start primetime programming at 6:30pm?
10 News+ should have been 30 minutes long from day one. But it will still be beaten by a mile of Seven and Nine’s News.
No word on Sunday though. If it’s still there in 2026? Or shortened?
I take it you were a fan of the 15-question FFF format?
Doing that is only a recipe for disaster, as 9 found out.
