I’d hazard a guess it was a rostering/hours/cost thing. Guessing Chris Bath was probably meant to be presenting (sick, otherwise unavailable etc).
Probably more to do with lack of money for junkets etc for Angela and this is the alternative.
Candice also presented in Melbourne today.
She’d be loving that.

The most inflated job title when he was presumably moved out of the State Political Reporter role with the change of government. Just ridiculous
Who is the current State Political Reporter if I may?
New one in Queensland is Matthew Karstunen - arguably a much better reporter for that role.
Jess Brown is filling in for Nat Forrest in Perth tonight.
Captioned Political reporter… is he working on federal politics now or still based out of Brisbane?
Filling in in Canberra by the looks of it, must be some leave happening after the election.
Canberra or Brisbane green screen?
Regardless good to see them giving people from around the network opportunities.
Mr @lachlan_kennedy on Lunchtime today
Brad McEwan.
Reckon he could be a good pickup for either Seven or Nine, in particular the latter if/when Tony Jones decides to move on.
Or he could even return to Ten when Quarters retires.
Though I do respect his decision to quit television over seven years ago, I think at the time he wanted to explore new avenues.
