Hugh on Saturday as well

Angela Bishop presenting daytime bulletins again today, possibly for the week with Narelda likely still on parental leave.

She’s hosting until NJ comes back - unless, of course, she’s sick. 10 has very good parental leave available, so Ange could be hosting for some weeks. It just depends on how much NJ wants to take now.

Sharyn was in Melbourne for The Project. Grand Prix was on as well so Sandra and Chris may very well have been down here as well

Sharyn is filling in for Georgie while she’s on TAR and Chris wasn’t at the F1 she was elsewhere.

Georgina Hill filling in for Sharyn again tonight, was mentioned at the end of the daytime news update.

Brendan Smith, who came up with the “Queensland Karaoke for a Cause” initiative, convinces media personalities to use their voice to promote the Epic Walk for DV fund-raising program by singing their hearts out while cruising around the city.

Join Senior Reporter Brendan Smith and special guests as they sing their hearts out and spark meaningful conversations—all while cruising in the swanky Volvo EX30. This series is all about fun, music, and raising awareness for an important cause: the Epic Walk for DV.

Our mission? To drive change and encourage YOU to sign up for the walk on Sunday, March 30 at www.epicwalkfordv.com.au. Take a stand against domestic violence and join the statewide sea of purple!

Here you can see the Brendan has picked up Sharyn at Mt Coot-tha and then drives down the mountain to Bardon etc.

Narelda won’t be seen again until 2026.

NJ isn’t on maternity leave, as stated in the article. She’s on paternity leave, which employees are entitled to 14 weeks at 10.

So, I am unsure how accurate the 12 months will be.

She could also be taking leave without pay.

It does seem like a long time for paternal leave, but if she’s in a position to do it, and the network is supportive that’s great for her.

Her Instagram post the other day (where David at TVT likely got this from) does say 12 months:

While I’ll be popping up here and there, I’m truly blessed to be able to take a year off from presenting news. For the next 12 months, you’ll find me alongside my most beautiful wife @karinaalyce as we spend our days getting lost in the cheeks, the toes, the fingers and the nose of our Sanna Swan.

Surprised they didn’t bump Ursula onto this.

Probably not to much up three shows?

I wouldn’t mind seeing some variety on the daytime bulletins, Hugh, Amanda Hart etc.

We may still see them on some of the days Angela has some conflicts.

I think Hugh has done a shift or two on the daytime bulletins here and there.

I wouldn’t pull Ursula off Late - key is consistency and stability with that bulletin.

Also, I assume using Ange on daytime isn’t costing them a cent more as she’s already rostered, brining in someone else would mean they’re likely down a reporter elsewhere.

She’s already there for the entertainment segments, so would be easier than having to re-do reporter rosters, etc, if they got someone else to cover.

The TV Tonight article does mention that she will still be travelling for entertainment stories, so definitely will be times every now and then when someone else will jump in the seat.

Wouldn’t mind seeing Dan Sutton have a go presenting the bulletin, as well.

That article sounds very final to me, like she may not be back…

I didn’t get that impression at all, but anything can happen.

I feel this way as well. I don’t think it will be a significant loss to the network if she did leave. She’s too one-sided with her opinions and is completely bias.
