Kathryn Firkin normally reliably files from the US and last week was in Florida reporting on trump. But tonight and last night she didn’t file at all and there was no crosses to New York.
10 didn’t lean into its CBS affiliation at all and used Dan Sutton from Sydney the last two nights on this big story.x
Very strange. Kathryn must be on holidays or sick.

The Sunday Footy Show on Channel 9 this morning were joking about some of the rivalries across the Melbourne newsrooms.
It was funny to see how they have multiple personalities below from Seven and Nine, but part of the joke was that the only person they could think of from Ten due to their reduced newsroom was Stephen Quartermain.

There are a number of roles being advertised currently within the news division, I think most of them just filling vacancies left by people moving on from the organisation.
In Canberra, a Network Political Editor to replace PVO and a News Editor in Sydney.
In Brisbane, there is a Journalist, Camera Editor, Sports Reporter / Producer and Executive Editor for Qld role available.

So they’re actually advertising for this? I thought they were just going to forget about it and leave “shouty” Stella and Chloe Bouras as their only Canberra based reporters.
Seems not, good to see. Either way they’d have to replace one of them if they upgraded them.
