Ten News First Presenters and Reporters (2020-Feb 2025)

What’s ‘FM News’?

Less serious, more pop culture-like. Refer: hit or nova news.

I don’t care that PVO is gone from Ten, he well and truly tarnished his own reputation long ago and Ten is best rid of him, but I don’t think he fits your description at all. What about him made him “FM”?

His use of music in reports, less “professional” tone - PM instead of Prime Minister etc… it was a network wide tonal change that never really caught on except for suck up boy.

Hugh Riminton presented the Perth Bulletin tonight. Looks like Natalie Forrest is back in Perth, as she filed a story tonight.

Curious to see if Natalie’s time is up presenting the Perth bulletin from Sydney, or if Charlotte Goodlet is returning from maternity leave?

A big change is coming next week. Back to the future.

Narelda?

Wouldn’t see Narelda as a “big change” given shes still the “official” anchor (never officially replaced).

How often is Narelda presenting Perth’s News these days?

She stopped presenting it in January when the midday news began, but she wasn’t officially replaced for Perth news.

All will be revealed.

Interestingggggg.
If that is indeed the case, will be interesting to see what they’ve done in Perth.
Going to assume the cheap green-screen model (unless they’ll reuse the existing set with a fixed camera angle?)

Would prefer they reuse existing set - much nicer than a green screen,

If Perth goes back to local presentation, I wonder if they might do Brisbane presentation too there instead of Sydney. Would make sense with the time difference.

Wouldn’t mind the return of Tim Gossage and Michael Schultz if that were the case. :face_with_peeking_eye:

I think he’s burnt those bridges…

Can’t imagine 10 would offer them even half their existing salary, so no chance

Yeah, that’s true. It was more so (unrealistic) wishful thinking because of Lachy Reid remaining. It’s unfortunate his employment ended the way it did after his 30th year with the Network.

I guess we’ll just have to wait and see what next week holds.
