Bound to happen.
Surprisingly they still promote the late news a fair bit (at least on 10 play) where I get a few promos and then the updates through the early evening starting during the local news and then into the night.

Very interesting, they could do with updating now. Stick some other footage or Sharyn presenting some topical headlines, some vision from her sit down interview with the 2032 Games boss etc.
Two or three promos a day doesn’t cut it. You may as well play marbles.
They should be showing two or three promos an hour minimum. And get them actually produced at TVQ with current events overlaid (they have the gear), instead of cookie cutter promos coming out of Sydney.
And also air them frequently in prime time, when you have the highest possible audience watching.
Trade off there is whether the ads will move the needle enough to warrant it vs being able to sell those primetime ad spots.
One less whatever the latest reality show is promo and one more news promo in prime time couldn’t hurt.
Persistence and familiarity is key when it comes to promoting news. Regular, high volume flooding of promos is the way to go, even if they are just little stings here and there every hour. If you want people to turn to you as a reference, you need to become part of their mindset. As a bonus, you can have your own daily content (ie. daily news events) as the ad.
I don’t disagree, but it’s 10
That costs money, and it’s obvious the networks “commitment to news” doesn’t extend that far.
We all know what they should be doing, but they don’t. It is what it is.
Former Network 10 journalist Jessica Bowditch, who also worked at Seven has been arrested and charged after an alleged assault on her husband.
Formerly Jessica Turner, and what she was known as during her time at 10 I believe.
Not to downplay the allegations against her, but for anyone that can’t read the article, it’s suggested the alleged assault involves a pillow that was thrown and the Lawyer has said the matter will be contested.
The tone of the article is interesting, it sort of makes a mockery of some of the context of the argument, mentions of a fake watch etc.
From the article
“Police have secured an apprehended violence order against the TV producer wife of
a high-profile Barrenjoey banker after charging her with assault.
Jessica Bowditch, 38, a former producer at Seven’s The Morning Show, was granted
conditional bail on Wednesday after appearing at Downing Centre Local Court over
a charge that she assaulted her husband Dyson Bowditch.”
For the first time, Taylor Ryan presenting the Late News tonight.
I thought this was already confirmed somewhere, maybe I saw it on here.
In any case, Chris has set the record straight this morning.
Good on her, great to see
Chris confirmed it on Instagram last week:
However, someone at the ABC still hasn’t got the memo though:
