Apart from a comment from a pretty reliable source on here over in the 7News Presenters & Reporters thread (username escapes me) that Bill McDonald has been dropped by 7, there’s been nothing confirmed of this and pure speculation that he could possibly rejoin Ten if in fact he’s no longer with 7.

Has Lachlan had any days off since presenting the national bulletin since when, Christmas Eve? Only a couple of days until local news returns so seems likely he’ll present Fri at least with maybe Hugh presenting Sat/Sun if he’s back from holidays at a guess.

Nope. Went straight from two days anchoring in Brisbane to anchoring nationals. All whilst relocating back to Sydney as well.
I wouldn’t be suprised if he has a few weeks off.

nope he hasn’t. He has presented the national bulletin since December 23. More like 4 days till the local news returns. Last year Narelda and Lachlan did the first week with Hugh doing the second week.
AFAIK, all local bulletins are back on Monday, January 8 at 5pm AEDT (4pm in Bris, 4.30 in Adelaide) before the BBL double header.
No news in Perth on the Monday, then back to everyone live and local at 5pm.
