Candice Wyatt is in the West Indies watching Glenn Maxwell make 1-3 runs each game.
Making up for that weekend read in Sydney I’m sure.
Just heard Amy Hosking voice a story on Muhammed Ali, a quick Twitter search shows it may be former Sky News producer.

Both Hugh and Sandra out tonight. Natarsha flying solo in Sydney
Hugh is again solo tonight in Sydney, most likely on Thursday too.
He has been since last Thursday.
Melinda Nucifora presenting weekend weather.
Saturday (11.06.16) - Queensland sport presenter Jonathon Williams presented sport on location and Melinda Nucifora presented the weather.
Tim Bailey is sick so Josh Holt from Brisbane is presenting Sydney’s weather tonight.
in Brisbane.
Hmm…I wonder who had their forecast live and who’s was pre-recorded?
In any case, I’ll reiterate what I’ve said before - Ten need to nurture and develop quality fill-in talent in Sydney (and indeed all markets) before resorting to interstate options. Having only one or two options for fill-in presenters before having to use interstate talent (as capable as I’m sure they are) quite simply isn’t enough, as we’ve seen with the weekend news.
I would safely assume that Brisbane’s was live. From what I have seen, it looks like Sydney’s weather is pre-recorded regularly.

Do agree to an extent. Sydney has Amanda Jason, Amanda Hart and Melinda Nucifora to fill-in for weather duties.
Brisbane was live, Sydney prerecorded.
IMO it looked shotty. Sandra or Hugh reading the forecast like they have done in the past would have been a better option.
Correct
@lexington is there any word on additional staff being hired throughout any of the newsrooms?
It looked exactly the same as usual, I’m not sure what you felt the issue was??
I think that a proper weather segment was the right decision given the warnings out today about further storms this weekend. Ten are far better at utilising national resources in these situations than Seven or Nine would be (though granted, Seven and Nine both have several alternative presenters to fall back on before going interstate).
@BJT2 Applications have not closed yet. When they do on 7 July, we should expect the beginning of a beefier Ten Eyewitness News: First at Five.
It looked “the same as usual” for the Brisbane bulletin, not the Sydney bulletin. The graphics are very different for a the two bulletins and the forecast looked exactly like what it was, a prerecorded piece shoved into a bulletin.
I’d love to see the thoroughness of Josh Holt’s weather reports implemented all across the nation, his reports run laps around the other five segments during the week (including the weekend one). The only other time I’ve seen this is whenever Duane Strauss fills in.
Amanda Hart read the weather this weekend.
