I think Perth arguably came out of this with a better product. Certainly the best out of the lot.
Since 2020, Perth remains the only 10 News market with a full live bulletin all-week (except some days), I guess. And Sydney’s control room and studio gave them somehow an improved look.
Interest rate report was presented by Ali Donaldson with Charlotte Goodlet also at the desk for background.
Edit: Live on east coast -originally reported as only AEDT.
I get its a big deal, and people are impacted, but Charlottes report on the 5pm news was very doom and gloom tonight.
Such a big desk in QLD for one presenter, and such a small desk for a double header!
With the Love Boat bumped, it is a shame that 10 didn’t continue their week of factuals and put this in the prime 7.30pm slot tonight to mark the anniversary. Cross-promote it through news and into The Project.
Certainly won’t be watching it at 11pm. I’ll have to find it online sometime because Ali’s special interviews on the news over the past few weeks have been great.
Couldn’t agree more, especially since they’re just running a Dog House encore tonight. No faith or strategy in their programming at all.
It’s on 10play. But the doco aired last week in prime time.
Unlike recent years, 10 News Budget special gets an entry in the schedule - often it just aired during NCIS etc.
It’s at 10:45 pm on Tuesday 25 October.
Also surprised to see the foresight to actually have it appear in the schedule, nice one 10.
Note disrupted schedule for 10 News First and 10 News Breakfast next week due to 10’s racing coverage.
How is 10 News Breakfast going these days?
Has there been any growth in that 8am time slot?
Rumours persist there’ll be some drastic changes to 10 News Adelaide. Stay tuned!
Rebecca Morse needs a job for next year.
Can only be a good thing IMO, they’re obviously putting in the effort producing the daytime news updates locally - same the can’t be said for Brisbane since it’s probably rating fairly similarly to before the changes were made.
They pretty much destroyed the brand in Adelaide when production moved to Melbourne. I can’t see viewers being too forgiving and it’ll likely take them decades to rebuild trust with the audience. I don’t know why they’re bothering.
