I’m pretty sure far more important local stories than “cat running up a tree” or “local bakery makes good muffins” happen and make it into the television news bulletins (well in Newcastle’s case, just one bulletin - which isn’t good enough for a market of its size, but I digress…) broadcast in Adelaide & Newcastle.
You’d think they’d insert a local backdrop to try and create some semblance of localism.
Anything from Adelaide?
I’ll record the Melbourne and Adelaide openers for comparison sake.
The look of the updates is pretty similar to what Queensland had been getting.
But they never had local backdrops anyway…other than sport.
There were 11 updates in Queensland from 12 noon to 5pm. That’s 3 more than last Friday - the difference was that there 3 short updates during Bold and Beautiful. Queensland didn’t get the super that appears a couple of minutes before 5pm.
WOW - full HD
No noticeable changes in Melbourne, yet!
Opening segment in Sydney is live and hyper local. These changes are were always going to be fine here but it’s the Brisbane viewers that will be getting the delayed news.
The bulletin is fine in Queensland but contains delayed live crosses.
So the Queensland A Block was taped an hour ago?
And the B Block will be live to Sydney and QLD and feature more national stories that work and travel across both markets?
I hope to god they didn’t say “Live” during these crosses
Only going to get worse for you guys once daylight savings hit.
Who wants to bet on the first stuff up?
