Caps from last night
So with 10 daily shutting up shop, the network simply changed the domain on the super during the news that says âFor more information go toâ to 10 play - however other than the actual bulletins themselves, there is absolutely no other news content or further information available.
Again, their digital strategy (or lack of) fails them time and time again. It honestly is no wonder that their online news site didnât work out.
SBS manage to do a far superior job with a fraction of the budget or advertising revenue. Go figure

I wish they would replace these - they are from the previous 10 News set.
Itâs the only inconsistent issue on the set, half the screens are burnt out some arenât.

I agree.
Iâd actually replace the two with one single frameless panel in the position of the left screen with more of a view through to the newsroom where the right screen is now.
To me it looks fine on set

This new Instagram account has popped up as @10newsfirstaustralia, hard to tell if itâs legit but the logo looks the same as their other pages and itâs only following their official accounts and been followed back by the verified Melbourne account.

Someone has already claimed @10newsfirst around the time the bulletin changed its name, but it has never been active.
10 also had a previous inactive account they used to post under @channeltennews with nearly 6k followers, but hasnât been used since Dec 2016

And then thereâs the couple of other states news social media accounts which have fallen by the wayside, and theyâve started all over again.
E.g.

It might not be because it doesnât have the blue banner & tick next to the name. (itâs not a verified account)
Itâs just been created, within the last 24 hours or so. Iâm pretty sure it takes some time to get this verification, or need to reach a certain amount of followers.
The websites still working?
Yes but if you look at the content on it, the last date of articles wouldâve been 22nd May.

Which part of the set were they? I do not recall themâŚ

They may be the two flanking monitors in the old 3-monitor setup.

Are by any chance, those two vertical screens the ones which made up the main backdrop (and were obviously horizontal) on the old set?

Correct. They were the two old screens on the set in the main backdrop being flipped vertically.
You can see whatâs been recycled from the old set by looking at the brightness of all the displays.

So is channel ten looking at doing what all the other channels have done and blend there main website and tendaily into one.
Strange that they wouldnât try to reclaim the old page. 5k followers isnât fantastic but itâs a better start than zero.

They no longer have any journalists filing for online news, other than retaining the state local social media producers which also worked across 10 daily.
They may look to build more news content into 10
Play, rather than just uploading bulletins as they currently do but that remains to be seen yet

Canât believe in 2020 a large TV network has 5 newsrooms, 3 bureaus But no website or digital presence

Well, there is a digital presence.
