It actually didn’t do too bad. It was up on Pointless figures.
So as long as it increased from what pointless was doing it’s a win for ten. So it didn’t hurt anyone that they ran an extended bulletin.
One can only say for sure if it’s like this all the time. Last night would be classified as a ‘special coverage’ as viewer interest would be at a high due to yesterday’s events.
Though it still shows that they’re committed to news, which is excellent to see.
Not only did it rate significantly better than Pointless, it helped boost the Project to its best Friday of the survey at both 6.30 and 7.00
The 7pm portion appeared in all 3 demos as well.
Thank you 10 for listening.
Tonight’s bulletin was presented beautifully.
Some gremlins at ten with on screen graphics not working tonight.
The bulletin is being live streamed on Facebook again, ads for 10 Bold and everything.
Edit: Queensland & Adelaide must be getting the same bulletin tonight, as we’re only getting a 30 minute bulletin followed by a Bondi Rescue repeat - a terrible way to maintain momentum into The Sunday Project and into the evening.
Indeed, 30 minutes in QLD is just shooting themselves in the foot. How hard could it be to keep going with local news in Brisbane for another 30 minutes when Adelaide cuts to The Project.
For the same studio and the same crew? Not impossible, but freakin’ hard.
Sandra Sully appeared as a guest on Hughsy We have a Problem Tonight. Such a bubbly personality, something we rarely get too see. Morning TV please!
Some 10 News First elements were used to for a skit if anyone has caps?
Sandra interviewing Gladys on News First… great use of the soft set.
Live or pre-recorded?
Fantastic use of the set. I love this!
God that set looks outdated now compared with the Sydney one
It does, I wonder when they’ll update, Melbourne?
Any reason why? Ch10 don’t appear to be running any election coverage
