During the recent Upfront, a new news promo was shown to those in attendance on the night. I hope this promo gets the airtime it deserves.

Yes it’s much needed for branding and positioning. Surely they didn’t produce a slick promo just for advertisers on one event. I’m sure eagle-eyed members here will look out for it.

Looking forward to the new news promos. I would also like to see story-specific ones promoting the next night that I think are more effective and used extensively by Seven and Nine. "Tomorrow, exclusively on 10 News … "

I guess they also require effort and airtime. Effort probably not a huge problem - just record them after the news the night before..
10, airtime and promotion probably a bigger challenge.
Ten does do these occasionally/rarely. Probably more something they’d do for 10News+ now rather than for 5.00?

Yes - more commonly seen for 10 News+ these days (where they are probably even more essential). Seven is producing national versions of these now; sometimes with the market name inserted after previously having more local ones.

Is the BB control room strictly limited to Big Brother or can it be utilised for other things outside of Big Brother?

Unfortunately it’ll be the production company’s control room (if not rented).

Is there a reason 10 News QLD didnt use the helicopter for the traffic report today? Weather is fine today
Aviation at ATN seems to be winding down possibly already
QLD, NSW and VIC will probably be on screens going forward as has been the case in SA and WA for years
