With numbers like them, you have to scratch your head over why they persisted with 10 News+ for as long as they did.

From what I can gather online 10 ran local news at 6 from Dec 2019 to October 2023. Then shelved it for Deal. Then shelved Deal for News+. Then shelved News+ for local news again.
So 7 years of chopping and changing to end up back in the same place.
If only they had left the 6pm news in place, invested in it, marketed and nurtured it….
It’s not like there’s not 25 years of ratings data showing the market seems to want local news and only local news at 6.
It’s not like 10 doesn’t have crews and studios and journos and producers all sitting there avail at 5:59pm
It’s not like there is a huge point of difference in offering a 30 minute newscast instead of a 60 minute one

It’s incredible… I think most members (including myself) were calling for this move to be made back in August last year.
10 really do have some fucked up managers that should be shown the door.

Beating a dead horse (probably) here but Bev should be the first to go. She just doesn’t know the priorities of the network and is literally an anchor that’s sinking the leaking ship.

Midday/Lunchtime/Studio 10 always had the windows open.
Great to see it back on the main set. Seems like they’re using the weekend/late news automation setup.
