Ten Network - Programs and Schedules

Its ridiculous. Expect ten to lose by large margin.

They were going to lose by a large margin anyway, considering they had only Living Room and Graham Norton repeats scheduled previously that night.

Ten finished behind Go in channel shares last night… Hahahahahaa.

The fucktards at ten have major issues running a 7 day schedules. They pretty much run lame on Fridays and Saturdays undoing any decent share from earlier in the week.

All-Star Cast Dazzles In The People V. O.J. Simpson.
Australia’s First Look At The Acclaimed New Event Television Series.
Coming Soon To TEN.

It has delighted critics around the world and broken ratings records in the US. Now the acclaimed new event television series The People V. O.J. Simpson is coming to Australia, exclusively on TEN.

Based on the book The Run of His Life: The People v. O.J. Simpson by Jeffrey Toobin, The People V. O.J. Simpson dramatises the most publicised trial in American history, from the perspective of the opposing lawyers: the defence “dream team” of Robert Shapiro, Johnnie Cochran and Robert Kardashian and the prosecutor Marcia Clark.

The all-star cast is led by Cuba Gooding Jr., John Travolta, Courtney B. Vance, David Schwimmer, Sarah Paulson, Selma Blair, Nathan Lane, Evan Handler, Cheryl Ladd, Connie Britton and Malcolm Jamal-Warner.

The People V. O.J. Simpson has won over critics around the world:

“True brilliance. A fascinatingly suspenseful saga even though the murder itself is no mystery. No matter how well you already know the story, it makes you wonder all over again how it possibly happened.” – Rolling Stone

“A brilliant, complex, inflammatory retelling of the circus-style ‘trial of the century’.” – Entertainment Weekly

“Absorbing… and, yes, thoroughly entertaining. The casting is inspired.” – The New York Times

“Timely, expertly executed, smartly cast entertainment.” – The Telegraph (UK)

The People V. O.J. Simpson is written by Golden Globe® Award-winning producers Alexander and Karasze¬wski (Big Eyes, The People v. Larry Flynt). Executive Producers are Golden Globe and Emmy Award-winner Ryan Murphy (American Horror Story, Glee, Nip/Tuck), Emmy-Award nominee Brad Falchuk (American Horror Story, Glee, Nip/Tuck), Nina Jacobsen (The Hunger Games, Diary of a Wimpy Kid) and Brad Simpson (Far From Heaven, Boys Don’t Cry, Diary of a Wimpy Kid). John Travolta also served as a Producer for the series.

Looks like the OJ series will replace X Files in three weeks time.

Given Ten’s paltry schedule until then there wont be many viewers to sample the promos.

Ten’s schedule is now in disarray. I’m a Celeb is tanking. MF is flopping. X Files is soft. What else is there? US Dramas won’t rate very well.

The line up looked ok against all sport on Seven and Nine last Sunday but first day of ratings suggest an unmitigated disaster.

Yep. We get it. We all know how bad Ten is without needing reminders every single day and in every thread.

Maybe you could make some suggestions rather than just constantly bagging everything.

I think it’s pretty clear what Ten need to do if they want to survive in the long run. In no particular order…

*Promote all programs equally, rather than just a huge promotional push for a few key shows and barely any for the others.
*Invest heavily in the news service, as well as the promotion of it.
*Make a firm commitment to Australian programing on the main channel and slowly cut back on the imported shows.
*Get involved in the communities of individual markets with some local programing, sponsor major events, etc.
*Launch a fourth channel.
*Launch a HD simulcast of the main channel.
*Launch full online streaming of all network channels on TenPlay.

And the list goes on.

Ten is already sponsoring a few major events in Melbourne like the Comedy Festival and the Virgin Australia Fashion Festival. Recently it has also replaced Nine as TV sponsor of Melbourne Food and Wine Festival. Not sure about other cities.

I have made plenty of suggestions here before over the years. I just feel it needs to be commented on constant until someone at ten wakes up to themselves. SydneyCityTV has made some excellent suggestions here today.

CBS announced with a promo during the Super Bowl that the current season of The Good Wife will be its last.

CBS Announcement:

The Good Wife Announces Its Final Season

All great things must come to an end.

On Sunday, CBS announced the final season of the beloved hit show The Good Wife with a special promotional spot broadcast during Super Bowl 50. The show’s last nine episodes will air on Sundays 9/8c, with the finale airing on May 8.

“It’s never easy to say goodbye to one of the crown jewels of your network and studio, much less to a show that is among the best on television,” said Glenn Geller, President, CBS Entertainment and David Stapf, President, CBS Television Studios. “But it also feels very right to end with the seven-year story its creators envisioned, and to celebrate the show’s final run while at the top of its creative game … We thank and applaud the outstanding cast, led by the impeccable Julianna Margulies, and the consummate writing and producing team, headed by the brilliant Robert and Michelle King, who brought to life a smart, sophisticated series that has delivered audiences so many memorable characters and unforgettable moments. It is a series that will only grow in prestige as its episodes are watched again or discovered by new viewers for many years to come.”

The series’ star also weighed in on the big news, stating that the show was “one of the most rewarding experiences” of her career.

“As an actress and a producer, it has been an absolute honor to be a part of a series that, throughout seven years, never settled on being just good… but always strived to be extraordinary,” Julianna Margulies stated in a press release. "I have witnessed magic happen when Robert and Michelle King put pen to paper, and it has been a privilege to be in the company of their brilliance. To the most amazing and talented cast and crew, there will always be a special place in my heart for our Good Wife family. As we close the book on our beloved show, I am humbled and grateful to know that together, we created and were a part of something truly remarkable.”

Since The Good Wife debuted Sunday, Sept. 22, 2009, it has been one of the most acclaimed shows on television. It has been named AFI’s Television Show of the year twice, won a Peabody Award, a Television Critics Award for Outstanding Achievement in Drama, a Writers Guild of America Award for Episodic Drama, garnered two Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Drama Series, and three Golden Globe Award nominations for Best Television Series - Drama. Series star Julianna Margulies has won a Golden Globe Award, two Emmy Awards, a Critic’s Choice Award and two Screen Actors Guild Awards for her portrayal of Alicia Florrick. Across all categories, the series has won five Emmy Awards and received 39 Emmy Award nominations.

Ten would need to find something else to fill up the schedule as they even listed The Good Wife in the last part of this year.

They should just end it in line with the states.

It’s good that’s it’s ending. It’s a great show. Never watched on ten because they’re always so far behind.

Good thing…one less US drama to clog up the schedule on ten. The sooner they shunt them all off to multi channels the better.

Limitless, CSI cyber, Madame secretary are all disasters. NCIS and LA are almost disasters.

An HD simulcast is coming, so I hear.

thanks man. Thanks for the heads up. Hopefully it starts March 4 for the Clipsal 500.

Once one gets cancelled another is commissioned. We won’t be seeing any reduction in US dramas unless Ten decides to.

But the new ones flop and flop badly…limitless and CSI cyber are case in point.

They can’t, they have already aired half of season 7, with the rest airing from this week. We are only a few episodes behind the US.
