Ten Network - Programs and Schedules

@TV.Cynic how is the show rating in the mornings?

10’s schedule during and after the Paris Olympics is beginning to take shape.
Sunday - TBC
Monday - Deal or No Deal Celebrity Specials
Tuesday - Dogs Behaving (Very) Badly Australia season 2
Wednesday - Bondi Rescue
Thursday - Taskmaster Australia

And season 3 of Hunted will premiere in August.

I am not just sure whether the combination of Hunted, Dogs Behaving (Very) Badly, and Bondi Rescue, can compete against the new seasons of The Voice and The Block after the Olympics though.

They absolutely won’t be competitive with that line-up, but there is a lot of variety there.

I wonder what 10 has planned for Sunday nights, they have a few unaired eps of Dog House/Ambulance they could slot in somewhere?

Small interesting note - 10 will use The Big Bang Theory in the afternoon weekend slot soon - double episodes around the 3:30 or 4pm mark

I would caution on using that Johnson line-up as the building block for ‘After the Olympics’

Deal or No Deal Celebrity specials are a limited run. But yes there is around 6 eps so they will have a few after Olympics.

I believe Bondi Rescue is only 10 episodes so will be done by the end of the Olympics if that is the case.

No guarantee that 10 are moving straight into the new season of Taskmaster - they may be held for later in the year.

I believe Ambulance Australia has only 2 episodes remaining for this season and they will play during the Olympics.

I believe The Dog House Australia has only 2 episodes remaining as well and will play during the Olympics.

Law and Order: SVU season ends at the end of the Olympics as well.

You will see Hunted back. FBI will return.

Thank God is ready to go in August.

Aaaand still no soaps. :joy:

This is interesting. First time Big Bang has been on 10’s main channel?

Neighbours is out during the weeks of the Olympics?

Neighbours still in

The reason is that Ready Steady Cook is finishing in a couple of weeks’ time.

That specifically is not a reason to bring that show in. It could have been replaced with other cooking shows / repeats they normally do. It will also be airing on Sundays. It is probably a new experiment to give a better lead in to the news

Oh, i just realised that i misread what you wrote. Apologies. I thought i read Big Bang airing weekdays at 3.30/4. instead of the weekends. Oopsy.

We are also coming into finals territory in NRL/AFL so Ten would be looking at something on Saturday and Sunday as a solid lead in to the 5pm News

What will they do 2pm til 3pm Fridays?

Didn’t they run some eps one week in December a few years back?

Looks like 10 is relying on repeat movies on Sunday nights during the Olympics, leaving first run programs on Monday to Thursday nights.

I guess it’s one strategy and I guess it stops them from wasting programs during the Olympics. But really Ten, if they were willing and able to spend money to generate one or two new Australian shows (or even extend some of the runs of these shows), some of these first run US procedurals could be airing at 8:30pm Friday and Saturday. At the end of the day, Ten is limited by what the owners are willing to do and smaller TV advertising pie these days

I reckon it will be MasterChef USA
