Ten Network - Programs and Schedules

Lie in Pieces on Tuesdays is just dumb…

Almost as dumb as Ten airing a Ford v Holden episode of Family Feud randomly on 7th August rather than on Bathurst weekend.

Absolute idiots.

Well I guess the 7th is Bathurst weekend considering it being the Friday night?

They aired it on the 7th August, not 7th October and it tanked massively in the ratings.

Surely it filling the 6-7pm slot after the race into new Modern Family would do better.

Obviously a national news bulletin from 6-7pm would be an even better option.

Ooops sorry. Yes they could have waited to have it on that weekend.

There is no guarantees that Ten’s Supercars broadcast will finish at 6pm AEDT.

So it is possible Brock will start at 9:00/9:30 in some markets? That isn’t a good sign is it?

I think October 18, Ten will need to start airing Double Eps of Life in Pieces as Australian Survivor is dying down.

Why couldn’t they have left Modern Family on Sunday last night ?

I don’t watch the NRL.

I mean the replacement , a movie, rates higher than Modern Family ?

General public will think Ten is just dropping it for no reason .

I went to my Telstra Tv and wondered why no episode was there .

It barely rates around the 400-450k mark as it is. If they had left it on last night, it would have gone to around the 250k mark.

Pretty sure Supercars have a ‘time certain’ policy which means races have to end one lap after the scheduled end time if the full race can’t be run. It happened with the Sandown race a few weeks ago after it was delayed due to a serious crash

Bathurst is the only race that is NOT time certain, as it has to go the full 161 laps regardless.

###The Graham Norton Show Returns.

From Friday 7 October At 8.30pm.

The irrepressible Graham Norton is back for his 20th season, showcasing his wickedly cheeky sense of humour, fast-tracked from the UK with The Graham Norton Show.

Returning this Friday, 7 October at 8.30pm on TEN, Graham is joined by an array of megastars on his famous red couch.

Actor and musician Justin Timberlake and Oscar-nominated actress Anna Kendrick drop by to talk about their new animation flick Trolls.

When asked if having a baby had influenced Timberlake’s decision to make the family-friendly film, he said “I feel I would have said yes anyway, but I did it for my son – who is amazing by the way! Can’t Stop The Feeling was meant as a celebration but I wouldn’t have written it that way if it wasn’t for him.”

Versatile British actor and show favourite Daniel Radcliffe is back and making his long-awaited return to music and Robbie Williams performs his new single Party Like a Russian.

What has Ten planned for post-8.30pm Thursdays with two episodes left in the current season of Gogglebox? Will it show new season of Law & Order: SVU or new series This is Us?

It seems ten is once again limping to the the end of the year with not enough content. And the stuff they are showing isn’t really rating very well at all. Seems the audience growth has well and truly stalled.

Hopefully in 2017 we see some more new Australian programming, more depth to the schedule with no back spots, beefed up news coverage.

They still need a major sports deal but that won’t happen for many many years to come as it seems they’ve just stopped bidding for things. They literally do nothing. Ten use to innovate and be ahead of the game in the 00’s. now they do nothing. Just the same old shit. One year goes into the next with no intention to grow as a media company.

Who knows? They simply don’t bid on anything. Those soccer games they could’ve gone for.

What exactly do the executives do there?

Their biggest sporting mistake was losing the AFL

To be fair, I think Ten are at least trying to fix their scheaduling holes. Monday>Thursday is majority new programs and a new schedule for Sat from this week…

Look back a few years and there was no FF, no Celeb, no HYBPA?, no Googlebox, no Survivor, no Bachelorette, no Shark Tank, no Big Bash. Ten seem to be trying a few new things a year (some of which don’t make the cut), it takes time to turn around a network that was SO far behind.
