Looks like Ten is holding back new episodes of the NCIS franchise to 2017, which can be a problem especially if there is another crossover between the shows.
How will it be a problem? If they are holding them all back then they will all still air in the designed way, will they not?
Probably a Good Idea to Bench New Modern Family Next Week as in Early November in the States, the CMA Awards will air on that Wednesday Night as all Sitcoms are Rested.
It will be a problem if the crossover does not air on the same week.
So they fastracked new Modern Family for just one week? WTF? Whatâs the point of all the publicity and trying to create buzz again for just one week?
maybe they didnât want it to get thumped against the NRL.
Well itâs the NRL Grand Final. Probably the following week they will air a double episode from 6.30?
I can understand the frustration but from a network perspective it is understandable. On a positive note it is a lot better than waiting nearly 6 months for new episodes as was the case last year. They probably ruined the show all the way back then to be honest, and if last nights figures are anything to go by.
Highly unlikely it will be a double ep. Ten could save the episode later on, when the US goes on hiatus for that week. That way there will only be one week off instead of 2 weeks.
New pilot under the working title Sisters has been filmed for TEN by production company, Endemol Banks possibly for 2017.

Life in Pieces needs to fill Tenâs 6:30 Sunday slot currently filled by Modern Family Repeats.
I hope they do a voiceover or screen saying "Tonightâs Modern Family will return next week "
Otherwise, the people who do watch Ten could think "Oh , another Ten comedy dropped ⊠just like Life in Pieces ".
I bet some people will just wait until it goes to a streaming service (Presto) and watch it there .

It almost certainly means This is Us will air on Sundays from mid October. It should have aired after The Wrong Girl and The Bachelorette to create a strong Wednesday line-up.

Hopefully new episodes do better than repeats were in that same timeslot or earlier, that and those still interested in the show donât mind being nearly 2 weeks behind the US though I donât really see this being something people would download or stream.
Madam Secretary is off on the 9th October in the US. So when it returns on the 16th, Ten will only be 2 days behind the US.
