Ten Network - Programs and Schedules

it will be all over social media anyway with reports and commentary by the time it gets to air on Ten.

Do we know if 10 have the rights to upload onto 10 Play (even if extremely limited like for Google box)?

Hmm, wonder if thatā€™s illegally being viewed, technically?

ITV Royal reporter Chris Ship is watching it live at ITV and giving a running commentary on Twitter.

Theyā€™re going to need to get a medic to the set of Good Morning Britain and have a censor on standby with a finger hovering over a dump button before Piers Morgan arrives for work. I completely expect him to meltdown live on air when discussing some of these revelations in a few hours.

10 London bureau reporter Phoebe Bowden also tweeting about it, so obviously they have the chance to watch the CBS broadcast somewhere.

10 News First are tweeting about this too:

Unless the producers made arrangements for media to get live access, you would blog as it was broadcast from 7.30pm.

Yes they do.

Ten may have provided screeners (via CBS) once it was live in the US.

A better play from Ten, if they could/were allowed, might have been to broadcast it ā€˜liveā€™ then a prime time replay.

Given the magnitude and the amount of news this will generate it warranted a ā€˜liveā€™ broadcast but I can see why they need to maximise viewership and advertising revenue with a prime time airing considering the amount of money they paid for it. Weā€™re still better off than the Brits who wonā€™t get to see it for another seventeen hours.

Another missed opportunity for FTA to stay relevant.

It should have been broadcast live. Everyone will just stream it using VPN or download it illegally as usual.

Meghan and Harry only did the interview from Oprah so they can win free cars.

Jokes aside, i also bet Ten are wishing it rates through the roof tonight. A two hours interview might push it a little though.

Not to mention the Kiwis, who wonā€™t get to see it until 7:30pm tomorrow night, which will be 20 hours after it has finished airing in Australiaā€™s South-Eastern States (17 hours from WA) & 7.5 hours after it has finished in the UK! :open_mouth:

I reckon the interview will be slaughtered in the ratings by MAFS because letā€™s face it: The most important bits are likely to be featured in the reports on Seven/Nine News at 6pm.

Chunks of it are available on social media.

Maybe that wasnā€™t an option given that itā€™s also not been broadcast live in the UK

Nearly 3.5 million Australian viewers watched the wedding on Seven and Nine in 2018 so there should be a lot of interest. I predict it will push MAFS into second place with at least 1.2 million viewers.

I think the news coverage tonight will only pique interest, particularly in how Harry articulates his relationships with family members. It runs for two hours so anything shown at 6pm will only skim the surface of a much deeper conversation. I didnā€™t really care what Meghan had to say. Sheā€™ll come out of it looking very naive. Harryā€™s history and relationship with the media on the other handā€¦

I think the interview will be big. But maybe big by 10s standards.

Itā€™s probably the same reason why (even though thereā€™s an argument that they should have) CBS didnā€™t air the interview ā€˜liveā€™ coast-to-coast and made West Coast viewers wait until 8pm local (ie; an hour after it finished airing on the East Coast) to watch it.

There was too much covered in the interview for everything to fit into a 3 minute news report.
