Main channels should only show premiere new movies when they get the rights , keep the older movies for multichannels.

Get Smart is available on Stan.

So no Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Pirates, Sister Act, Lethal Weapon, Die Hard etc re-runs?

Premiere movies are all available on pay-per-view or pay TV platforms before broadcast on FTA.

I meant 1 or 2 or so years after the movie has premiered.

Do those movies that are repeated all the time rate? I’m one of those people who watch a movie once and don’t ever watch it again.

Territory Cops…please :persevere::persevere:

Was just thinking of Territory Cops today given the recent developments and news of the series2 narrator, John Jarrett.

Do the networks have hidden headquarters too?

“Get Smart” (2008) will be a network premiere, part of Ten’s new Roadshow content supply deal. Previously the film aired on Nine for the past decade.

“Runaway Bride” (1999) is too, but from their Disney deal. Previously Seven.

The Movie reboots just don’t stop even in the future, do they? :stuck_out_tongue:

In the re-boot of this, the character originally played by Richard Gere might end up with a Anti-mow hawk with coloured highlights lol

It isn’t cost effective to buy the rights to a movie and just show it once.

And Ten doesn’t screen daytime movies like Seven and Nine does

Whoops! Sticky keyboard. Thank you for the pick up.
Coincidently enough, Pretty Woman airing this week on Ten, also of course had Richard Gere and Julia Roberts.

To be technical, Seven virtually never air actual movies at midday.

They’re all made for TV form various deals with Lifetime (dating a couple of decades and oldest ones seen on various multi-channels at midnight often 4:3 aspect ratio!), Marvista and A+E Networks.

Are the movies on 7Flix and the weekend movies on Channel 7 made for TV form or actual movies
