Ten Network - Programs and Schedules

I have a feeling it will be making it australia

Survivor will be doing big business for 10, can see a real battle with The Voice very soon, we’ll have to see where that leaves The Block and if it can finally improve or stay stuck where it is

I actually have to agree. Ten could then either air an extra hour of infomercials overnight or screen either The Late Late Show or a encore of Dr Phil after The Late Show. I dont think the night would rate any worse either way

New Making It is Coming watermark is shown during Australian Survivor tonight, which suggests to me The Bachelor will be followed by Making It also.

Is there daytime schedule too?

New promo just aired for Todd Sampson’s new doco series - over 2 nights… Mirror Mirror. Wednesday sept 8.

Todd Sampson’s Mirror Mirror.

Beauty Is A Weapon Used Against Us.

Starts Wednesday 8 September, 7.30pm On 10 And 10 Play On Demand.

Continues Thursday, 9 September, 7.30pm on 10 and 10 Play on demand.

Mirror Mirror on the wall… you know how it goes.

But did you know that over 50% of people are dissatisfied with how they look?

Did you also know Australia has one of the highest per capita cosmetic surgery rates globally?

In this confronting two-part documentary, advertising and marketing guru Todd Sampson explores the societal crisis of body image dissatisfaction and the manipulative trillion-dollar industries that profit from it.

A father of two teenage girls, Todd lifts the lid on the beauty industry to discover an ugly side – how our obsession with beauty is exploited by the fitness, diet, and pornography industries and how our image-obsessed culture can easily lead to disorder.

Written and created by Todd Sampson, Todd Sampson’s Mirror Mirror is a Baltimore Films production for Network 10.

It’s interesting they’ve gone with this as 7:30 content. Looks more like 8:30 content but at least it’s new and original.
Probably won’t rate well though.

Seems like 10 have more content for the back half of this year than that of the past.

Was Mirror Mirror the title of a children’s drama in the last 90s, early 00s that aired on 10 but was NZ produced?

Yes. Two seasons.

I was a bit surprised that Mirror Mirror would air on 7.30pm due to its content (the show includes some surgical procedures). Not sure it is a suitable lead-in to the new season premiere of Gogglebox on September 9.

Anyway, I expect Australian Survivor to now finish on September 7, with The Masked Singer and Making It to start on the week of September 12.

The masked singer is apparently 3 weeks so may be more than just 2 nights a week this time.

Maybe they will strip both masked singer and making it

I think that will be the case. No way they’ve only done 6 episodes of the Masked Singer when they have about 12 masks. Would be at least 3 episodes per week + the finals and the unmasked special.

I reckon it could go:

Sunday-Tuesday: Masked Singer
Wednesday-Thursday: Making it (Not too sure how many episodes there are though).

Then Celebrity Masterchef takes over from Masked Singer and Bachelorette from Making It. Though depending on how many episodes have been filmed for each they might still be one franchise short for this year.

It would seem so, I reckon they’ll be out of content by the second week of November.

As much as we hope they don’t, from a ratings perspective they probably should’ve filmed more episodes than usual for Celebrity Masterchef and Bachelorette so that they can fill the gap all the way till December.

We’re probably going to see Jamie Oliver and Bondi Rescue back in primetime again.

Hmm agree, we don’t want more Celeb MC and Bachelorette - I don’t know the answer though - it’s a common issue with 10 always just slightly falling short - they need another franchise that runs for 6 weeks to see out the year and takes them to the week before xmas, then 2 week summer break before I’m a Celeb.

10 confirmed this morning that Making It would debut on Wednesday, September 15, which leaves Sunday to Tuesday for The Masked Singer (it will of course start after The Voice finishes - I am tipping The Voice grand final on either September 6 or 12).

Taskmaster would be a great option and while not something you would strip across multiple nights, could be filmed in a week with local comedians somewhere in Queensland and ready to go by November
Taskmaster, taskmaster, taskmaster……anyone listening?

So from Mid Sept to about Dec 15 there’s 12-13 weeks.

If they go 6 weeks masked singer and making it, they can do 6 weeks of Bachelorette and Celebrity MC. But most of these formats will probably go 4-5 weeks so they will be short from late Nov through Dec.
