Ten Network - Programs and Schedules (2015-Apr 2025)

Agree. Should have been on the Friday, where it has been for some time. Rather than some random movie.

I meant to mention this too - surprised they haven’t been tempted to return it to this slot and are persisting with movies rather than lifestyle content.

Could this because season 2 is starting in P+ end of the month?

Graham Norton is a Sunday - Thursday for one week.

It is only on Thursday the following week.

Am guessing keeping the Thursday night slot warm for new Gogglebox, 10 were teasing it as part of their Q1 lineup along with Survivor and Celeb so must be coming fairly soon.

Though I thought they were doing the same on Sundays, making it more of an entertainment evening as I’ve got a hunch Sam Pang’s new weekly show might be going there.

I think the Thursday only screening (January 30) for The Graham Norton Show is to avoid the clash with Australian Open men’s singles final on the Sunday night.

I really thought 10 would move it to Wednesdays with the Foxtel leaving.

Several of 10’s current promos saying “After I’m a Celebrity’ rather than actual broadcast time, noticed it for The Ex-Wife, Elsbeth & Graham Norton.

Maybe because “I’m a Celebrity” is a live show! They can hardly stop mid segment and start one of these shows.

Encouraging people to search/push them onto streaming?

Makes sense, but I mentioned it because I can’t recall seeing them using this type of advertising previously and thought it was noteworthy.

Also they’d still have an indicative schedule and runtime which is 90 min each evening per the schedule posted above, outside of the premiere.

Given that, they could probably promote the preceding shows as being a 9:00pm start - despite it being live and possible overruns.

No. It’s because they can’t stick to a schedule.

Given the nature of I’m A Celebrity it can be hard to predict events 3-4 weeks in advance despite the best planning. Of course, it would be possible to stick to a strict timetable, but this would make it easier to be flexible if the show’s popularity (or lack of) dictates.

I just wonder if the stations would adhere to scheduled program times if they had a slow program rate fine applied to them (similar to how cricket teams have slow over rate fines).

I know live programs have some degree of difficulty in running on time, but even in the past the networks were able to adhere to the schedules to some extent (even if Midday Show did often run 3 to 10 minutes overtime depending on the guests with the yearly finale often ending between 2:05 and 2:10pm.

On a separate issue, I dont think I’m A Celeb is the networks biggest problem, given the atrocious programming for 10 and 10Peach next week in the mornings. The 7am to 9am schedule on 10 is all over the place and is similarly the case from 6am til midday on 10Peach

10’s Late News pushed back too 11pm Monday-Wednesday (after airing early for last week and this week coming). It is still airing early on Thursday (10.10pm), and on Friday (at 9.50pm).

They should air 10 Late News straight out of I’m a Celebrity.

In Perth, 10 will join in progress of CBS’s live coverage of inauguration of Donald Trump at 11.25pm local time, meaning Stephen Colbert will not air.

Poor strategy from 10 again. News should be airing as close to 10pm or after the main prime time programming where possible. Some of the choices are questionable.

No, no they shouldnt. People have traditionally seen Late News bulletins are the last thing they watch at night, hence why history shows even back in the 1980s many regional stations aired local news replays as the last program of the night. If you want people going to bed or turning to another channel, feel free to screen Ten Late News at 9pm. I think Ten Late News should be no earlier than 10:30pm to keep people watching the channel. Yes many nights in the past 18 months or more 10 has not always delivered this, BUT if they place news at 9pm, it looks desperate and like they have given up
