Ten Network - Programs and Schedules (2015-Apr 2025)

It is always shown in guides as 30 minutes but it rarely screens in full. It was 25 minutes today. It was 20 minutes yesterday.

ET is and will continue to be shortened to act as a filler because it’s a simple solution for Ten. I’m sure if they had a cooking show they could do it with instead that they would.

Unfortunately Ten see it as a quick fix. The argument that you are proposing is like someone saying that the Drew Barrymore Show cannot move to 9am because Dr Phil is scheduled there this week. Things change and the current schedule by no means promises that this will not change

Surely 10 can cut one of Deal or No Deal’s encore shows, and schedule Entertainment Tonight in its spot? And have a repeat of one of 10’s many cooking show as a “bitesize” edition, if a daytime airing of a reality show goes overtime. Aka filler program.

I’m sure over time they have considered various options. I’m not sure that it was originally planned for The Drew Barrymore Show to screen at 9am, but they have made changes, whether we think it’s good or not, it’s unfortunately not our choice.

There are other ways around this, which I won’t discuss due to the risk of going into Mock Schedules territory, but I did a mock schedule recently which I suggested a morning news bulletin (at 11am) instead of 3:30pm,

A variation could be if the morning 9am til 11am window was used for reality encores, then the news could be extended as a filler, with Judge Judy used as other filler content.

But ultimately Ten will continue with a trial and error approach in the hope that viewers will embrace the new schedule with open arms

So, no Entertainment Tonight today. Next screening is 11.30am Monday. I guess this means they will be delaying screening episodes by more than a day.

Unless they are fast tracking episodes on air within 2 hours. But I doubt it because I know they struggled doing that in the past. They sometimes replaced episodes with other programs because they couldn’t rush them to air.

So a Monday episode will screen here on a Wednesday and a Thursday episode will screen on a Monday now.

Seeing the new daytime schedule next week, it looks like everything has moved timeslot which is going to really piss off viewers.

Ten should on sell Entertainment Tonight if they can’t air the program right. Maybe Nine could get it back as they had it originally and never edited or delayed certain episodes. I think Nine has some CBS shows so anything is possible.

Do many people in Australia actually watch Entertainment Tonight these days? Either way, they should put the episode’s in full on 10Play.

It obviously doesn’t have enough viewers for them to care. It must rate extremely low if they are happy to always move it and cut it so much.

Anyway it looks to be moving to a permanent midnight slot everyday on 10Peach next week. Tuesday - Saturday.

Well, at least thats better than wasting it every day. Shame it couldn’t be afternoons on Peach so I can watch it in the evening on the same day like I do now.

Perhaps an ET topic could be created and we could move discussion about There. I’m pretty sure, 10 wouldn’t be chopping it if it was a highly watched show.

Neighbours, Bold And The Beautiful and 3:30pm news all remain at current slot, everything else is pushed to another slot

Just ridiculous that every single show between 9am and 3.30pm is in a different timeslot next week. Usually, a network will shift one or two shows in different timeslots to see if they work better. But Ten are going to shake up the whole daytime schedule and cross their fingers that all the changes will work?

I find this massive shakeup extremely odd. Their lineup must’ve completely collapsed after Studio 10 finished last year (despite that being very subpar).
Hopefully the move of Midday to 1PM doesn’t have a bad effect on it. 1PM just feels like the wrong timeslot.

Not sure if we have any access to ratings but has Midday dropped too in ratings? @TV.Cynic

Looks like ET is on 10play…….

It is but it is usually on there after it has screened. They only have Wednesday’s episode there now. As I mention above, Thursday’s episode won’t screen until Monday and it’s not on 10play.

The Sunday night slot after Hunted will be The Real CSI: Miami, currently screening on CBS in America.

Promo for the new Friday show

Eight episodes have aired in America so far.

They desperately need new content on Fridays, but feels like the type of series they should have on Saturday nights alternating with new Dog House UK etc.

Absolutely - maybe paired with 48 Hours
