The dead horse has been flogged that much that it is no longer recognizable. This show is no longer in production and really should be discontinued.
Could just be temporary, until further announcements are made as eluded to in their release last week and they can schedule Days, YTR etc.
Dr Phil has also been a daytime staple of 10 for years, wouldn’t be in the schedule if it wasn’t still rating fairly decently either.
So the morning / daytime schedule for 10 from next Monday is:
6:00 Everyday Gourmet rpt
6:30 My Market Kitchen rpt
7:00 The Talk new
8:00 Neighbours rpt
8:30 The Bold & The Beautiful rpt
9:00 Dr Phil rpt
10:00 Good Chef Bad Chef rpt
10:30 Deal or No Deal rpt
11:00 The Drew Barrymore Show new
11:30 The Drew Barrymore Show new
Except that from Tuesday The Drew Barrymore Show is encored at 6:00 and 6:30am.
I didn’t realise they were still showing The Talk. Which has since been axed.
It doesn’t finish until December though.
Meant to mention that actually, so there’s another hour a day to fill in the mornings from next year.
Surely they’ll do a clean swap and air The Gates.
Yeah they might, depends if they could better monetize it elsewhere with studios more open to selling content these days rather than gatekeeping it.
It is also untested here so there would be little demand, locally they may wish to see how it goes first before putting it in the schedule.
It would certainly lean into the soap opera theme they have going on currently. We’ll see
I’m just wondering if General Hospital will come into consideration for any of the Australian networks with the recent announcement from Ten. It hasn’t aired on Foxtel for sometime and not on FTA for a while longer.
Why are they only promoting Days of Our Lives when they are also taking ove The Young and the Restless. Y&R has always been the poorer cousin in Australia even though it’s a better soap.
Cause they don’t launch at the same?
Probably staggering the initial promos, then will probably promote the whole lineup later on?
I know I’m going to get shot for this suggestion but I think one of tens solutions for early evening is already in their schedule.
I think the cheap seats should be stripped at 7pm, possibly following a game show hour. Will still give them entertainment in the slot, the ability to interview celebs and talk up their following shows but won’t need to be a try hard current affairs show like the project is trying to be.
Granted I know that working dog are notoriously scared of over exposing shows, but the cheap seats could literally be a year round show in that slot with fresh content from that days news, and events. They have lots of ‘segments’ that can rotate in and out across the week for slower news days.
Yes it would take a bigger writing team and snappier turnaround but it can’t be that different to the work that they are putting into the project.
If ten are that desperate to keep the project they can then move it to a 9.30 slot following their prime time
Promo for Drew Barrymore Show.
If Wikipedia is right, Days will begin airing on Ten mid June and Y&R will begin on Ten in mid July
Yea, i think that’s what Angela Bishop said on Midday the day it was announced.
She didn’t mention anything about the free to air Channel 10 airings.
The question will be at what time will it air?
I could be wrong, but I assume it won’t be 9am as Dr Phil has just moved there
But that could just be temporary.
So do we assume Ten is going to start trying now?
Trying to do what?
