Only 1.5 hours to go!
Right now, Ten Sydney has One in 576i; SC10 from Wollongong is still 1080i.
Yep, the One watermark looks awful in SD.
I wonder if the bitrate of Ten HD has been increased in readiness?
@SydneyCityTV Getting ready to flick the switch no doubt!
Small thing, shouldn’t the thread be “ten HD” or “Ten HD”
We follow the 7TWO, 7mate, 7flix, 9Gem, 9Life etc styling.
TEN should not really be in caps - it should be Ten HD or ten HD
Ten refer to it themselves as TEN HD
@KICK-IT “TEN” is actually the call sign for the Sydney station within the network.
Not to mention that the LCN names are “TEN Digital” (they really should get rid of the “Digital” part IMO!) and “TEN HD”!
I don’t know why, but the network often says it’s channel names in all capitals.
Ten refer to it themselves as TEN HD
Foxtel also calls itself FOXTEL in PR and print. I think companies just do it so when Blogs, print etc use the press their company name is in CAPS
But strictly speaking, we should name threads consistently.
Right now we have 9Life named after the logo styling, likewise 7TWO, but TEN HD we follow not the logo but Ten’s PR
We are not just going by TEN PR - we are using the name they use on their website and in the EPG:
I think we can move on from this discussion now.
Same in Melbourne.
And SEQ
For comparison purposes 9HD in Brisbane is currently averaging 4.1, WIN HD is 6.1; MPEG 2 channels SBS HD 8.9 7Mate 4.5 (!!!)
5 mins… OMG the excitement is almost too much!
One is 576i in Perth too. I thought we get it 3pm here in Perth but looks like it might be 12pm.
Channel 10 is currently running 5 minutes late according to the EPG (I’m a Celebrity encore ran over so much Everyday Gourmet appears to have been cancelled)… I wonder if that will delay the launch of TEN HD so that it can launch straight into Judge Judy, or if it will launch into the end of Entertainment Tonight.
Looks like they’re delaying.
I just hope that the launch of Ten HD happens with some fanfare rather than a straight cut from the loop to programing!
Prepare to be disappointed. That said, there’s a chance the pre-launch loop could finish just before 3:05…
