Microsoft is urging owners of Windows PC’s and notebooks to check their computer system to see whether it can cope with an update to Windows 11, with support for Windows 10 to end in October next year.
ust started testing a S24 ultra at work with a view to rolling them out at the company i work for as an android option with iPhones for those who want them.
I have not used android in ages in any serious way – I had an early HTC before i moved to windows phone and then onto iPhone since. this wasn’t due to any blue / green bubble rivalry – my jobs just supplied work iPhones.
I’ve been using the s24 ultra for a few days and I’m honestly impressed. Android has come along so much, and the customization is fantastic, I’ve already loaded a new launcher (nova) and my own mp3 ringtones as well… if we return this s24 ultra i might wait for the 25 and get one myself
I just got an S24 whilst on special at $1187, had a $300 gift card, so only paid $887.
It was an upgrade from a 2020 model S20+, at four years old, if was time for a new phone.
Glad now that I got a new Panasonic Blu Ray Player/Recorder last year.
US tech giant Meta has agreed to pay out $50m to Australians impacted by the Cambridge Analytica privacy scandal in a landmark settlement with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
The settlement, which is made on a no admissions basis, ends a long-running civil dispute between the commissioner and the $2.5t behemoth, which kicked off in March 2020.
The OAIC alleged the personal information of Australian Facebook users was disclosed to the This is Your Digital Life app for a purpose other than the purpose for which the information was collected, in breach of the 1988 Privacy Act.
The annual Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is taking place at Las Vegas next week.
I like CES. I’m still waiting for my hoverboard though.
I’m still waiting for my affordable self-driving flying car.
Overnight I received an email from Microsoft advising me of a big price rise in the yearly subscription of Microsoft 365. It will jump by $50 to $159. Has anyone received a similar email?
and they wonder why people pirate
Ridiculous. Thank god I bought an Office licence key from one of those OEM sites.
That’s what I do too, since I only really need it on my PC at home. I don’t have a laptop, i just use my phone and tablets when out and get by without Office on those.
I switched to LibreOffice. Haven’t looked back since.
