With all do respect, I’d much rather The Two Murrays.
The Two Murrays were one of the more lighthearted and enjoyable shows on Nine Radio.
Tapt’s replacement seems mediocre at best
Great that local news has returned to Melbourne on weekend afternoons ![]()
I bet they were cheaper…
The Australian’s Media Diary reports that 3AW’s new address will be the old Victoria Police headquarters, at the World Trade Centre precinct at Docklands, a couple of blocks south of Media House.
It also says that Tapt Media launched a counter-lawsuit in the Federal Court against Melbourne-based digital business card start-up Tapt by Hatch, which instigated legal action against the network over the use of the “Tapt” name, having trademarked the term more than four years ago.
Going off the last couple of weeks, seems this is the newsreading roster as present in Melbourne:
Weekdays
5.30am to 11am: David Armstrong
12pm to 6pm: Jordan Tunbridge or Stefanie Waclawik
Saturdays
6am to 10am: Denis O’Kane
11am & 12pm: Breanna Edebohls (Mornings producer)
1pm to 6pm: Brian Wilson
7pm to 11pm: Karalee Katsambanis (National News)
Sundays
12am to 5am: Karalee Katsambanis (pre-recorded bulletins)
6am to 12pm: Jordan Tunbridge
1pm to 6pm: Karalee Katsambanis
The two-and-a-half-hour conversation will air across two mornings on 2GB in Sydney, with highlights also rolling out across 3AW in Melbourne, 4BC in Brisbane and 6PR in Perth before the full interview lands on YouTube.
Titled War Hero or War Criminal? The Ben Roberts-Smith Exclusive, the interview will cover Roberts-Smith’s childhood, family, service in Afghanistan and Victoria Cross, alongside the war crimes allegations, his defamation case, arrest, bail and fight to clear his name.
The interview airs from 7am on October 22 and 23 on 2GB and its app, with highlights on 3AW, 4BC and 6PR. The full interview drops on YouTube at 9am AEDT on October 22.
Not that I an all that surprised but I won’t be listening. It would have been interesting if the interview would have gone ahead if Nine still owned them.
Yeah, I’ll be rearranging my sock drawer. ![]()
News clips will go out across the 230 commercial radio stations that syndicate Tapt Media’s news service.
Impressive given that there are only 259 commercial radio stations in Australia.
Almost all radio news services in Australia subscribe to Newsmaker (from Fairfax/Macquarie/Nine/Tapt). The reason for their dominance is no one else offers such a convenient and well priced radio news rip and read wire service.
Isn’t there another national news syndication service? Can’t remember the name though.
There are other wire services - like AAP. And there are other syndicated news bulletins - like Air News and NRN. Tapt Syndication offers both.
AIR news even uses Tapt’s syndication service as i have heard reporters like Dusty Fitspatrick and even Michael Pachi on the service.
The advertising of the BRS interview tomorrow morning is getting quite ridiculous. I am not interested at all. The interview is politically motivated and if the allegations against him are true his rightful place is in prison as far as I am concerned.
Imagine them doing the same with other criminals or recent events like Bondi and playforming them like this.
It’s pretty disgusting. “BRS day is so distasteful”
