Talkin’ ‘Bout Your Gen. Coming Soon To 10 And 10 Play.

Whether you’re spilling the tea or hearing it through the grapevine, here’s news the whole family can get behind. The generational showdown Talkin’ ‘Bout Your Gen is back with a bold new look, a brand new set, and a fearless new host, the quick-witted and hilarious Anne Edmonds.

Anne is one of the country’s most beloved comedic voices; from her iconic character Helen Bidou on Get Krack!n to her AACTA Award-winning stand-up show, Why Is My Bag All Wet? and her regular appearances as a star panelist on Have You Been Paying Attention?, Anne’s unapologetic humour and sharp observations make her the ideal host to navigate the inevitable chaos of generational rivalry.

Each week, we find out which generation truly reigns supreme when Gen X, Y, and Z go head-to-head for the ultimate bragging rights.

Host Anne Edmonds says: “As the new host of Talkin’ ‘Bout Your Gen my only wish in the world is that Gen Z will tell me I slay, and Boomers will tell me they don’t need any help finding it on 10 Play! I’m so excited to host this show and find out what’s wrong with young people and old people, but mainly with millennials.”

Returning with a fresh line-up and re-energised format, Talkin’ ‘Bout Your Gen is jam-packed with fast-paced, laugh-out-loud entertainment, from wild trivia and pop culture face-offs to meme-worthy moments and outrageous challenges. And with Anne stirring the generational pot, nothing is off-limits.

The team captains, each representing a generation, will be announced soon, and they’re gearing up to bring the banter, the brains, and plenty of generational flair.

This is Talkin’ ‘Bout Your Gen like you’ve never seen it before.

Pretty predictable choices with Dave and Tommy there, but Anisa is a pretty inspired choice - have seen her stand-up before and thought she’d go far.

Dave Hughes and Tommy Little? Yawn. Very predictable choices.

I dont know much about Anisa to comment on.

Anisa was just on The Project on Monday night.

Filming of the new series started in Sydney yesterday.

Agree. Very underwhelming and off-putting.

Channel 10 has cast Channel 10 in this.

Outside of Taskmaster they are really afraid of trialling new talent aren’t they?

I don’t think that’s fair. Across a number of their shows they have a variety of talent that aren’t the “usuals”

And by far give the most opportunities (outside of news) to a variety of talent across their mix of shows. Agreed that’s is not really a fair comment.
I assume that these guys auditions or were screen tested in someway for these roles and did the best. I’m sure that they did not just automatically walk into the roles.
Also, let’s remember that Celebris or talent that a top of peoples wish list for these shows may not have been interested (such as Micallef) so I’m sure that network has done the best with what they could

I’ve heard the first taping was an absolute shit show and ran past midnight and they had to release the audience before they finished.

I wonder why the very long filming of this episode. Lots of set changes for too many unnecessary different segments, perhaps?

At least there will be an excuse for the program running overtime in its timeslot

No/not enough rehearsals and set changes taking too long.

Dave must still be on a network contract and making up for the Masked Singer thats not on.

I think Anisa and Tommy are good choices but Hughesy has been on so many shows that we need a rest from him.

Isn’t he always on Nine shows like the hundred? Doubt he is on any network contract. Very few are these days.

No but when a show is picked up and gets axed they always use that talent like its part of a contract that has to be fullfilled. They did it with Tristan on Im A Celeb and others.

That show was last on in 2023.
