How many times do I have to say that Seven should try more gameshows and dramas in the 2nd half of the year? Failing that, they should’ve kept X Factor and DWTS and launch new shows off those.
Isn’t Take Me Out like a game show?
Will there be a reverse version where a panel of men get to pick women, criticise how they are dressed, how they look, how they sound and how they present themselves.?
Probably not. Can’t offend women, can we? Only men? Hopefully I’m proved wrong here.
This show was moderately entertaining, largely saved by Joel, but I suspect it has a limited lifespan on prime-time. Looks like light entertainment for a booze filled Saturday evening to me.

No it’s only women that get to pick.
That’s the biggest fail of the show. They should be mixing it up each episode some episode it’s women picking men, men picking women, men picking men, women picking women even a bisexual cast. It would keep things fresh.
It’s probably not compelling enough to make anyone already watching rival shows to switch. While Joel is great, the rest of the cast are pretty dull. I thought there might be a bit more interest when the dates are shown, but I don’t really remember who was on the first episode. And the dates are just so cheap; did they spend all their money on Joel’s wardrobe?

The original show Taken Out did that after a few weeks.
Mallory on Take Me Out is just absolutely hilarious.
Are we sure this is the correct title of the show? Surely it follows on as “…the back and shoot me”
I watched the first episode on 7plus and it was surprisingly enjoyable, so much so that I ended up watching the second episode. It feels a bit like a game show but the show’s format works.
Joel Creasey carries this show and if anyone else had hosted, this show would have bombed.

Which may well stay on 7Plus?
The UK did a single episode of reversed Take Me Out for their 10th anniversary this year.
Maybe next season for AUS have the first half girls picking guys, then the second half have guys picking girls.
I suspect there will be no ‘second season’ on the cards.

I am pretty sure they did that before the 10th anniversary. I think it changes every year. I am sure when I watched it in the UK one season it would be men choosing women then next women choosing men.
Doesn’t appear to be any indication online that this is the case.
Was this show meant for more than once a week? Because I can’t keep up with the introductions. One week it announced “we will catch up with last weeks dates” and that was the next day. Then this week it said “we will catch up with last nights dates”. Such poor editing.
