I’d just like to say thank you for your incredible commitment to giving customers value for money.
I bought a bag of spinach… and was absolutely THRILLED to discover you’d included a FREE PEN inside.
At first I thought, “What a strange looking spinach stem…” but no… it was an entire pen. I can only assume someone realised the bag was a few grams under the advertised 280g and thought, “Quick! Throw a random pen in there. She’ll never notice.”
Luckily this spinach was only destined for my Bearded Dragons, who have surprisingly high standards and prefer their salads without stationery.
So thank you for the bonus office supplies. Next week can I request a highlighter? If we’re padding out the weight, I’d at least like to complete the set.
Has anyone else received surprise “ingredients” in their groceries, or am I just the lucky winner of Woolworths’ new Back to School Salad Range?

The acquisition includes Barbeques Galore’s intellectual property, wholesale inventory, and portfolio such as iegler & Brown, Ziggy, Turbo, Beefmaster, Firehawk, Arrosto Pizza Ovens, Downunder, Saxon, Maxiheat, and Kent.
ACOM International intends to support independently-owned Barbeques Galore stores, expand its distribution through existing wholesale customers, and explore partnerships with other retailers.
It also seeks to renew Barbeque Galore’s national online presence and look into potential export markets.

The rescue keeps the iconic brand alive online, in wholesale and across a string of regional franchise stores, but it’s cold comfort for about 500 workers caught up in the collapse.

Coles has confirmed it is outsourcing hundreds of office jobs to India, in a deal with Accenture.
Wilson has opened its biggest Australian sporting goods store to date, at Chadstone shopping centre.
Makes me wonder, I know Wilson make great racquets and were my tennis ball of choice growing up… some players on the tour wear their clothing.
I could be wrong, and am being negative… I can’t see a physical store being a success in the long run. Digital/online yes - I use certain tennis and golf clothing websites to buy my stuff (otherwise its a trip to Rebel).

Its the ultimate branding opportunity. Brands love to tell their “story”. Also, they are selling direct so the margins are huge. But they do have to sell enough to cover the massive rents which is the same issue retailers face.

A new Lego Certified Store opened at Eastland shopping centre in Ringwood this morning. It is the third official Lego store in Melbourne, after relocating from Westfield Doncaster where it operated for five years.
People were lining up for blocks…

I walked the queue to get in with my son… and it took almost two minutes from the store entry to the end of the line.
The Doncaster location moved to Eastland, I’m guessing they (Lego) were offered a better/cheaper lease for the retail space.
