My local Westfield is upgrading itself all the time. There are quite a few stores getting a revamp at the moment and the outdoor restaurant area is always kept clean and up to date.
Woolworths will close its store at Nhulunbuy in NT in 2027. The only supermarket in town, it was originally opened half a century ago to service the nearby Rio Tinto-owned bauxite mine. That mine will cease production in 2030.

Myer feeling the heat (again). I’d imagine TK Maxx is pulling some revenue away from Myer also.
Q4 seems like it will be pretty ordinary across the discretionary space. Fuel and Interest rates are likely going to spike again so I don’t think this quarter will be any easier.

There always has been a tolerance to contamination I thought, like 10 rodent hairs per block of chocolate etc pretty sure horse isn’t yet able to identify as beef though.

This is another guy who just thinks the rules don’t apply to him. I hate Harvey Norman with every fibre of my being. I never shop there. Gerry Harvey is awful.

Yes I tend to agree in particular after the money the company got during Covid that he had to be convinced to pay back.
Unfortunately the only times I have shopped there has been when their special is too good to ignore. But if the price is roughly the same no way.
Coles have another store in the CBD on Spencer St. I suppose using an extremely strict “CBD” definition it’s not inside the Hoddle Grid because it’s the wrong side of the road maybe?
Obviously that part of Elizabeth St is pretty bad - not helped by them operating and presumably continuing to operate the Liquorland a few stores up, but it does a lot of business so it’s odd to vacate rather than try a convenience store model, as there’s high demand there, and plenty of people stopping in buying breakfast/lunch. With higher prices and less product lines they could probably balance it out being just a jumbo 7Eleven.
I bought a new toaster today (my last one lasted nearly 30 years!).
I got a giggle at the instructions on the cardboard in the toaster slots (below) - I’d like to see someone try and use it without removing them!

Ignore the instructions just butter them after a good toast. Taste just like supermarket bread.
