A web search found that Woolworths Fitzroy closed down permanently on January 30. The site will be redeveloped into an apartment complex.
I’ve been to a few in that style, they even have Dollarama trolleys.
Looks like the plan is to swap all of them to that style then just swap the fronts and call it Dollarama.

Went to my local Big W Store and noticed they have a lot of there stuff in the party store is mostly discounted. Must be in the process of getting lots of new stuff

Funds manager Forza Capital is understood to be conducting due diligence on the historic department store building, which has been home to Myer since 1914.
The potential off-market transaction would consolidate ownership of the nine-level property, which is currently split between Abacus Property Group (50%), Vicinity Centres (one-third) and Charter Hall Long WALE REIT (about 17%).
It’s suggested that the building’s future could involve further retail diversification, with landlords increasingly repurposing department store space to accommodate specialty retailers and direct-to-consumer brands.

The planned revamp of the Dandenong Market precinct in Melbourne’s outer south-east includes a focus on increasing its customer base through new housing and increased pedestrian spaces, improving safety, and retaining the popular market’s vibrant and multicultural feeling.
The plan is open for public comment until April 10.

Officeworks have announced they will be trialling a tech only store within a store offer within an existing Target store. Location has not been disclosed as of yet.

Swiss food giant Nestlé says about 12 tonnes, or 413,793 candy bars, of its KitKat chocolate brand were stolen after leaving its production site in Italy earlier this week for Poland.

They have not really had much success here with breakeven profit results year on year. I do wonder how much longer they will keep pursuing the Australian market. They have a costly few legal cases approaching I recall.
Uniqlo has done well with high earnings locally.
The difference is Uniqlo doesn’t have a store in Tasmania.
