Retail Food Group is facing another round of struggles after reporting a more than 40 per cent plunge in earnings in the first half of 2026.
The company reported domestic sales of $254.6 million in the first half, down 1 per cent. Underlying earnings before interest tax depreciation and amortisation were $9.2 million, down 43.1 per cent.
The company, which is Australia’s largest multi-brand food franchisor, had a slow start to the year. In the first seven weeks of the calendar year, core brand sales were down 5.5 per cent. The business said this reflected customer count challenges following store closures.
Kmart on Saturday appears to have deleted the images from its online shopping range after fierce backlash spread across social media on Friday.

Woolworths trialing more new entry gates. As I was going in last week some other druggy guy with a basket of stolen goods simply pushed through the welcome gates and off he went. If they want to steal they will still do it regardless of what gates you have. The staff working in self serve told me they have people who just jump over them also.
I don’t like the gates they are completely unnecessary. I went into a Woolworths recently didn’t buy anything but wanted to walk out of the store other than feeling that I was locked into the store with no way out as there were no human operated checkouts open so I could not walk past one of the open checkouts all the others had shopping trolleys blocking the check out so wasn’t easy to get out that way. I eventually just walked out through the self serve area through the gate and it did open but it’s not a very good experience. I was concerned that it would not and I would have to wait for the staff member to open the gate.
They have started having gates like this which is even worse. How is someone in a wheel chair or have a disability suuposed to enter? Completely unnecessary.

Aussie Disposals have been placed into administration for the second time in six years, owning $4million.
I bet the first male to whack his balls on those and sue, they’ll remove them.

Army Disposal stock went out 20 years ago. They didn’t do a great job trying to compete with new market entrants over time like BCF/Anaconda.
Those who don’t adapt over time and simply keep doing what they have been doing for decades will fail.
