i loved this stuff.. we used them to teach the kids about gardening and where food comes from. now its crap that gets underfoot, thrown out and lost. its not an incentive for me to shop at woolies tbh - its more landfill shite.
Talk some retailers are thinking about closing stores in Victoria as the crime wave gets out of hand.
It appears like Victoria has major issues at the moment, no doubt this peak season could be problematic.
Myer results are out next week and I would expect this subject to be a key issue for that retailer. I was in Melbourne Myer about a month ago and found at least $500 worth of ripped tags in one of the change rooms. I have them to the staff who sadly said there is nothing they can do.
How many more places do they intend to put the Anko products into?
If thereās one product type Iād never consider Anko, itās electronics.
If theyāre pushing it into Officeworks for more than pens and stationery then theyāre making a big mistake.
Whilst Iāve had OK experience with Anko electronics, they cannot replace all of the branded products in Officeworks with Anko. Officeworks was not, is not and will never be Kmart. Leave them alone.
Whatās next? Anko at Bunnings?
Wine bottles will be included in recycling refund schemes in Western Australia from June 2026.
Wine and spirit bottles and large juice containers will be included in container and deposit schemes in New South Wales and South Australia by late 2027.
Speaking of Anko
Anko is more made in China crap. If it was made in Australia, employing Australians, sure.
Peopleās obsession with Kmart is sickening.
Iāve never quite understood the fascination. Some of these online groups have people literally going to the store most days looking for āhacksā or other bs. Seems like some sort of cult following. Wesfarmers executives are lapping it up in bonuses big time.
Whatās with all these news articles pushed out by some outlets, Kmart releases a new cushion or something and itās ārun donāt walkā headline, āthousands are rushing to get the latest cushionā. IKEA has sold similar crap for decades, itās nothing new. Perhaps I should go out looking for some āhacksā that are ālife changingā, I will make sure I ārun not walkā.
I like to wear black t shirts. I went to the local Salvos and they had a few stale old XL t shirts in there for $5. At Vinnies they had a pilly old ANKO shirt size M also for $5.
I went to Kmart today and they had every size in black t shirts, crew neck, v-neck⦠$3. So I bought three.
I then went and bought a chicken and salad roll from the bakery - $9.
As I ate my lunch it occurred to me.
Itās a crazy world we live in these days.
Always nice to get out of the house
