7am-10pm is more than enough. It’s more a VIC/NSW thing I recall, as QLD and others have trading hour restrictions.
My old folks got caught out in QLD recently. Way up north all supermarkets close at 6pm on a weekend. SA many stores don’t even open on a Public holiday. I think we have it pretty good down south compared to others, but 24hrs is a tad too much.
Depends on the area. Country areas, yes - there’s no money to be made going any longer. Heck, I’m in the more “rural” parts of Blacktown LGA and the Woolies and Coles close at 11pm. The IGA that’s in walking distance closes at 8pm, but it is in a run down centre that has the local library and some professional services up stairs.
NSW is fairly liberal with retail opening hours, that’s true.
After spending New Year’s in Asia, it’s so weird being back in SA where shops open at 9am and close at 5 or 6pm most nights besides supermarkets which are later whereas a lot of Asia have opening hours more 10am to 10pm.
But Asian work culture often dictates you stay at work longer (in a very unhealthy way). So having those services there makes sense. Not in Australia per say.
Yes. You are talking about MediaSpy here, everything matters.
Have you seen the state of the 24-hour Kmarts? They look shocking. They could do from a few hours of being shut. I’m not anti-24-hour shops, but not everything should be 24 hours.
Yeah yeah, people say that about OnlyFans too. Just because you could, doesn’t mean you should.
Nothing wrong with onlyfans if you’re young and attractive.
Great way to make some fast money to be able to get into the housing market early or invest and build wealth.
