At least it was better then their last jingle - DOWN DOWN DOWN… using big hands to point down there
It’s possible the shopping centre may be refusing to allow the updates or won’t contribute to the cost.
Updating branding in a timely manner has never been a strong point at Woolworths limited.
They were operating Tandy stores in the late 2000s that still had branding / livery from the Early 1970s, and the same for Dick Smith stores from the mid 80’s
I wonder if any Woolworths stores still have the old logo or even worse, Safeway logo.
You mean these logos?

I saw all three latest logos on display at the Eastlakes store. It was in a really run down shopping centre. However in recent years it’s been redeveloped which it needed 10 years ago. I used to live close by but never went there because the shopping centre was so old. Plus the Woolworths was small. I’d prefer to go to the bigger store at Westfield East Gardens. Plus that store for a period used to get a lot of the new store concepts that they would test in certain areas.
The Woolworths in Eastwood NSW still uses the 1990s logo.
Gotta love it when they don’t change the logo for 30 years!
Was that Safeway logo used here? I don’t recall that typeface being used.
I think in NSW it was called ‘Red S’.
It was called Safeway in Sydney. Those supermarkets just became Woolies too. I think they might have used the Red S as a byline in the adverts.
Safeway. After all these years since the rebrand of Safeway to Woolworths in Victoria, it will always still be known to me as Safeway.
Same here, MelbTV. it rolls off the tongue better.
Kambah ACT still has the old logo too. It’s being extended soon, so presumably that’s when they’ll change it over.
It used to be a Cannons Supermarket (surrounded by specialty shops) before Woolies bought them out in the 90s and slowly expanded out into the other stores.
So i guess not every Woolworths rebranded.
Surprised the “Woolworths Liquor” sign is there though, I thought the BWS rebrand was really comprehensive even if the main logos aren’t done.
Unless that’s a weird ACT thing? I remember previously seeing a “Coles Liquor” branding on a store with Liquor as an isle like Aldi, rather than a separate department/entry, so perhaps same deal?
Streetview’s a little out of date. It’s got BWS branding now.
Liquor can be sold in supermarkets here. Independents and Aldi have it in store. Woolies and Coles both went through stages of having liquor aisles in store (Coles used Coles Liquor branding, Woolies didn’t have any) but it didn’t last too long (issues with POS I believe, because not everyone held an RSA).
Most liquorland/BWS are attached to the supermarket but have their own entrance. They often have an internal entrance to the supermarket, but most usually keep it closed and use it to move stock/staff access.
That whole shopping centre is like a warp back to the 90s.
Woolworths are apparently on to it.

Given they’re asking for the name of the store, I’m going to suggest that tweet is an auto reply.
Yep, if you go to the store in the afternoon it has the correct logo.
