Surely you’d want to distinguish them somewhat - calling the small format stores ‘anko by Kmart’ or something.

Otherwise you get into a mess with catalogue items of having to asterisk off 30 different items at a bunch of random stores - rather than a simple “excluding Anko stores” the same as the ‘Excludes Target Country’ line appears in just about every Target T&C line.

I think the indication was that they’d use Kmart Hub for the small format stores. Hopefully that’s a placeholder while they decide on a half decent name.

Yeah, they are not ‘surprise items’ as Woolworths and Coles sell them every year.

Kmart has stopped selling fishing licences due to the pandemic according to their website.

Interesting because I thought they would have stopped selling those years ago with the streamlining of their services. I guess it’s just a convenient excuse to get rid of it without causing too much fuss.

I remember buying a fishing licence from Kmart in North Rocks a very long time ago.

Guessing it’s some sort of residual arrangement they had with the NSW government that just never got cancelled (until now).

Is it just me or did the print run of 100 million bags have an error? Is that a tadpole in the middle of the green “W”?

I found this on Twitter. If it’s a mistake it’s a little more widespread.

Why would Woolworths make such a small change when you consider its only been a few years since the rolled out the new signs on every single supermarket?

What is the point of this little tweak? Is green paint in short supply?

It’s just a flat version of their logo, nothing new

Yes. The shadow in the 3D effect.

Thank you JBar - I can now see that it’s meant to be a shadow of the “W” twisting.

Now I wonder when this first appeared and how much the consultant was paid that added it. Is it on any of their neon signs yet?

Speaking of logos, Kmart has recently lodged a trademark for this, I really like this K style

Also interesting in the IP Australia trademarks site is that Kmart Australia actually has the ‘new’ US Kmart logos trademarked.

Likely this would have been transferred from when they bought the naming rights outright from Sears in the US a few years ago.
