They do that every quarter
My local Big W got rid of the Garden Centre some years ago. They turned it into an in-store Optometrist, but that didn’t last that long. The space has since been turned into (and remained) a Party Centre - for the likes of decorations, balloons etc.
My local has a rear entrance that has a Direct to Boot parking spot. I have yet seen a car parked there yet.
Noticed that Woolworths has started collecting soft plastics for recycling again.
Is it done via an external company?
They have said these prices will be in place until at least 2026 so it appears this part of a strategy shift. AFR mentioned Bardwell is ripping out nearly half a billion in costs so likely where they are reinvesting that in.
I’m all for reduced EDLP prices as long as they stay down and stop going up.
These price drops appear largely own branded products, will be interesting to see what Coles does here.

- The old Target Dandenong is finally replaced (By Best & Less and JB HI FI).
Was at the Chemist Warehouse next door yesterday and I noticed what is happening with the Daiso Store.
Having them under the one business works well in terms of buying power. I believe they were originally split from the supermarkets due to shareholders wanting to distance themselves from alcohol and gaming.
That would be a big loss for that centre being right in the middle.
I agree. I like the variety in Big W, and I’ve found the clothes I’ve bought from there are much better quality and fit than Kmart.
Not only that, Kmart’s whole product range seems to be all the one colour! Even most of the kids clothes are all the same sad beige
I’ve noticed this with H&M too lately. So boring.
It appears to be back, unclear who has taken the helm. The ABN has “PRETTY GIRL FASHION GROUP PTY. LTD.” listed.
That was the name of the company that owned the brands previously. It looks like they haven’t updated the website registration data.
The terms and conditions of the site, however, says that the company is CKM Brands and gives an address.
The address is the same as Caroline K Morgan, which is a fashion wholesaler
Probably just an old off th shelf company they just rebranded instead of just starting a new company.
The size of your average dairy - pretty amazing there’s 100 of these little fellas around the country.
That’s their problem I guess. I have been fortunate enough to find decent stuff at Reject Shop. Probably rejected by society in general but it went to a good home.
Tell me about it everything is just about anko. Might as well rebrand it with K-Manko.
