Super Radio Network

Let’s hope not.

3AW still take Sportsday Victoria.

As that’s the cheapest option instead of AW paying staff. It will continue.

I actually wouldn’t mind if all the sports (excl. Talkin’ Sport) left 2SM.

Send over Hi-Tide and all the Off The Bench’s over to SEN1170.

Leave 2SM for talk & music.

Since Caralis’ legacy is about cost saving, I can only see 2SM keeping Sportsday as well.

2SM take NRL Nation as well, don’t they? I wonder whether Hutchy sees value in continuing to sell that to BOG?

It’ll likely be the same arrangement as what SEN had vs MSR1278. That is, SEN1170 would take one call, and there would be another team calling for BOG.

It’s only beneficial as it gets into the regional markets.

In other news, I have noticed a refresh of some imaging on the FM Network feed

There’s more variety in the elements, and a new “80’s to Now” jingle. Sounds pretty good!

Can you or anyone grab a sample for us to hear?

I wonder if NewFM also got a change as they sounded similar.

Real professional. Looks like something you’d see on some tatted up rat in Liverpool…

I was in Ballina today and was able to clearly pick up FM1047 from the lookout in East Ballina. The log was great and I liked how the network imaging guy was used to voice some local elements and “the '80s to now” jingle after teasing what’s coming up in the hour. Sounded great !

Sounds like FM104.7 actually embraces the network imaging package unlike pretty much every other BOG FM station.

Regardless of station ID/names, they should at least have some form of consistent sound to their network.

It probably helps when the guy who does the voices for the network (Richie “Mr Clarence Valley” of 2GF) is based in Grafton, if I’m not mistaken.

Not sure if Richie does the voicing for the FM Network - sounds like a younger artist. I’ve heard the same guy on some of Grant’s stations and a message on hold one day. Maybe Richie does stuff for the AM Network?

Hopefully @Paul_Covo_Covington if he’s still around can answer this?

Things might’ve changed over the past couple of years, but I’m pretty sure Richie did the voices for both 2GF and 104.7 the last time I was up in the Clarence Valley (March 2017).

Ah yes - Richie still features in some imaging on FM1047, but there is definitely someone else doing the new elements.

Of course I’d be quite interested to hear some of the newer FM 104.7 elements with this different artist myself, but unfortunately the station doesn’t stream online nor am I currently in a position to travel up North!

I can receive 104.7 a very low level here in Brisbane. I’ll try to look out for some enhanced reception from that area to record something and upload.

Richie doesn’t do voicing for the FM network as much though. That’s from Newcastle.

This would likely be Ryan who used to be based in Toowoomba at 4AK but is now based in Grafton working for @Paul_Covo_Covington
