Super Radio Network

I don’t know whether to be happy or sad :joy:

It’s really hard to tell what is truth or BS these days, one of the media websites even named the firm handling the sale.

Could be true or not only time will tell,

We’d know if he said “happy April Fools”.

Mott continued: “[Any offers are] best handled at board level and I’m sure that I would be told if it was, but nothing so far.”

But he only started last week, yeah?

And it wouldn’t surprise me if he wasn’t told.. nothing would surprise me with that mob.

Continuing the discussion from Super Radio Network

Big news with the Super Radio Network having three finalists in the Australian Audio Awards! Chris Smith, Tim Webster and Cheralyn Darcey as per the Facebook Page .

This impressive - how many other radio stations would have thee nominees
Is it industry nominated or self nominated ?

Seems to be self-nominated, going by some of the other nominees. John Parkinson from 2RE is also up for Best Newcomer On Air - Small.

Looking at Lava, New FM & the Super Radio Network’s FM stations are doing ‘all 90s’ over the Easter long weekend.

Just like Dean Makin, the most self nominated also ran in Australian radio, as they dont even bother with the ratings its hard to see a prize winner here.

What’s Chris Smith nominated for, most repetitive content.

Yes John is on air here in the afternoons. His dad is Doug Parkinson by the way

Wreck our fun won’t you Mr Mott.

Again, it was the Tele who came up with it. There’s a clue in all that.

He been on 2RE for a couple of years, and before that in Inverell - going back to 2022.

So, I actually have it on very good authority inside SRN, that the employees (CEO included) have not been included in the conversations about a sale. The conversations are happening at the owner level with KPMG, but nothing has been formally communicated down. Yet.

It wouldn’t surprise me with this lot. The owners seem just as secretive and strange as their father. Could explain the sudden departure of the previous CEO

You don’t bring the likes of KPMG in to do a valuation without there being some consideration for sizing it up for something else.

I find it a tad difficult to believe they don’t know what the network is worth - they would be required to establish some valuation as part of their yearly financial reporting

I’m not surprised. I believe it’s to value the network and get things above board.
