Not that just, but also streaming on one of the major apps like LiSTNR or iHeartRadio.
A sneaky way around streaming the FM stations is via the B-Rock website, who do have online streaming for both B-Rock and 2BS.
Yes and this predates Caralis taking over the Bathurst stations. I mainly want 2RE as their locally programmed music is great.

Very interesting. Must be trying to capitalise on the FM translator in Toowoomba to put music on. Iād be inclined to swap callsigns and branding though between 4WK and 4AK to retain 4AK as the music station.
Wow, thatās an odd move, stations swapping formats like that,
Maybe to get the talk programming penetrate into Toowoomba better?
And also since 4WK still uses AM stereo (?), music will sound better - for at least a very few, eh @gordo92 ?
I kinda feel itās more about getting music on FM in Toowoomba itself to take on Hit, as the only other official FM in town, apart from River overspill.
Looks like the speculation was correct.

Usually they do, but currently they aināt due to a fault causing interference, and when i went to help they turned off C-QUAM as part of the fault finding process (interference has been resolved), but it will return to stereo once the faulty equipment is replaced and site gets back to normal
Is either brand all that strong?
Most stations branded with a call sign only at this point are talk format, or various classic hits/oldies formats, and 4WK / 4AK arenāt all that unique from eachother, so the public being clear on what the music one is would be pretty low.
Pick the stronger call letters for the talk station, then come up with a unique brand for the FM network aligned stations.
The music in C-QUAM AM Stereo is back!
Dust off that old C-QUAM AM Stereo receiver you have, because the music in AM Stereo has been given a 2nd chance!
And it seems new music on the AM band lives to fight another day. The last remaining Top 40-ish radio station on AM in Australia. 99.9% of AM stations are either talk, sports or classic hits/oldies music, or have converted to FM and adopted their current Top 40 formats there. Also very much all AM radio stations are and have always been in Mono.
Well done 4WK for bringing back the music in AM Stereo once more!
*AM Stereo music only available for residents living in the Darling Downs with an old C-QUAM AM Stereo receiver produced in the 1980s/90s.
Hmm not sure I agree. 4AK had a high profile as a hit/rock music station in the 80s and has been a full time music station ever since. 4WK has been synonymous with talk and oldies (even country music) radio for decades. I reckon most people in Toowoomba still associate 4AK with music and 4WK is perceived as daggy and talk.
Will SRN bother with a rebrand of 4WK following their switch to the BOG FM network feed?
Also, this is quite momentous in Australian radio history. When was the last time we had two sister stations directly swap formats without swapping names?
We had 3AW and Magic Melbourne switch - but they also swapped names. So too did 4BC and 4BH. But when have we ever had the station names remain at each station?
No, I actually donāt think theyāll bother swapping them. If I was in charge I would though
Probably never? This might be an Australian radio first!
Fox and MMM back in the 90s did a format swap. Fox had dabbled with Classic Rock and MMM went AC, then they swapped back.
Iām assuming weāll also see a logo change for both stations - as 4WKās current logo features, āPart of your lifeā (traditionally, an older tagline), and 4AKās logo features a young figure wearing headphones - not quite what youād expect for a talk station logo.
New logo unveiled.
I donāt know whatās harder on the eye. The already outdated new logo, or the fact āTHESWITCHā is one word?
Plus a mirror image of a radio with reverse text.
